Does anyone have a list of items that work good with particular generals ?

No, but you can consider various factors:
- Do I want to use this to enhance a gen's skill (only for gens with skills at lvls 1-3)?
- Do I want the gens to benefit from the raw status boost?
Eg. The Greek Fire item should be used on one's primary / secondary consul/administrator because of its +20 Admin points boost.
- Is the item capable of having a gem or two inserted and who could benefit from it? (Main attackers should have it so that their points get as close to 200 as possible.)
Eg. Using Greek Fire on your best administators/consuls because, with gems, the admin boost could go up to 52 points (20 + 16 + 16).
