Hello, I wondered if any of you have found a way to encrypt files such as .json in World Conqueror 4 (other ET games potentially)? I've found myself in an annoying situation where people keep making unlimited resources versions of my mod NWM or keep stealing contents without permission and without credit. I'd like to end this issue once and for all, this has been affecting other modders for a very long time. The crazy part of my mod is that people don't realize that one of our general medals has a major buff for resources skills, which always leaves me in astonishment for those who keep making unlimited resources.Β Yes there way to encrypt some plain files, but what do you want to achieve? Encryption has only one purpose; prevent modification. Anyone still can make a purchase hack - see encrypted ET originals. I say, keep documentation and comment your modding work and thats it. If you see somebody making business with your modifications, send him an invoice.

Good point Trotsky, it's useless if they could just grab decrypted plain files and replace our encrypted files in the mod.

Good point Trotsky, it's useless if they could just grab decrypted plain files and replace our encrypted files in the mod. Even this is avoidable. IE: All original EW4 files are simmilar, but incompatible with my mods. But, if I understood you correct are the IAP-hacked versions of your mod what causes you most pain - and this simple hack we can't block. Continue your excellent work, and soon all people that have a Stryker-Hack will migrate to get an update.
