So, I just found out that you can't stack effects (such as infantry commander), which sucks ENORMOUSLY, meaning my game plan will have to be changed. Honestly, this is kind of a cover question for the real question which is; Which general should I get next? I have Ivanov, Beseler and Macmahon (thanks to Friedrich “Fried Rice” Paulus's which were great), and I've almsot finished the Turkish campaign. My generals are reasonably well upgraded, and my tech is almost maxed out. So, in my sights I've got several generals that could be potential buys; I think since I have 2 arty generals I should try to buy Hindenburg later, so I should either get inf gen or cavalry gen. I think I should go for cavalry. So I'm stuck between Sidney Johnston and Plumer, both of whom I could scrap up to afford, but now that I think of it; is Mcclellan good? Also, I mentioned stacking because my original plan was to have multiple cavalry commander generals that would just help each other, but that is now no longer doable so... Yeah. I'd be happy to hear your advice, maybe even bringing in a totally different idea which I haven't thought of. Thanks very much!

*what I meant to say was thanks to Friedrich “Fried Rice” Paulus's advice, but In think you've figured that part out. Also, out of interest, how good is Hindenburg in your opinion? Would Hotzendorf be good instead? Thanks again! Much appreciated.

Sorry one more thing to clarify . I just realised that I need navy generals a lot for the British campaign and the Challenge campaigns, and if I get one now, i don't have to worry anymore so... I really don't know what to do now .

Since you already have Moltke and Stonewall (hopefully), I would say you are good for now on cavalry. McClellan is very useful if you are going to do history mode, but you probably won't be looking at that for a long time. I would say to get Straussenburg, because if you are lucky, you might not need an admiral for the British Campaign. But if you do, Hipper is the best in performance, followed by Beatty.
