I've had Total War: Rome II for a while now, and I bought the Rise of Republic DLC during the latest Steam sale, and I've absolutely loved it so far. Is anyone else playing any Total War games? After trying out HOI4, I'm convinced Total Wars are miles ahead Paradox games. Also, I'll try to add some pictures later.

Been playing lots of Warhammer III lately but on and off. I still prefer to play the original Rome as opposed to the remaster just out of nostalgia.

I'd probably say that the original Grand Campaign is at least as good as the new one. However, Rome 2 has way better DLC, especially Rise of Republic and Empire Divided.

Okay, my grandpa brain realised how Steam's screenshots work. So as can be seen from the images, I am playing as Tarchuna and I have united all the Etruscan fachave peacefully united all the Etruscan factions into the Etruscan Leaguetions into the Etruscan League peacefully, except for Veii which I invaded at the very beginning. Also, I've defeated quite a few other factions including Rome, and all the Gallic factions in the north, which is now securely in my control. The three most powerful factions remaining besides me are Taras, which is slightly hostile towards me, Syracuse that has a quite neutral opinion on me (except Expansionism), and Carthage who like me, but won't make any treaties with me. There's also an Italic alliance between the Sabines, Samnites and the Frentani, and then some other minor factions in Sardinia and southern Italy. The most logical thing for me to do would probably be to attack Taras, but instead I've decided to finish the wirk the Athenians started and send a naval expedition to Sicily. The mistake Athens made was certainly not not sending enough ships. So, I'll be sending atleast 200 right away as well as all my money (which I have a lot of now).
