I have Manstein and Guderian, and I’m at the very beginning of Pacific. So, from what I can tell you are good when it comes to tankers for right now. With Manstein and Guderian you should be able to complete the -40% Konev mission. Get him. After that, probably go with Nimitz/Doenitz or Arnold.

I was thinking getting Kuznetsov as a stopgap navy gen to make Pacific easier, get Konev after him, than either sell Kuz and try for Rommel, or Nimitz/Arnold. For the record, I have around 970 medals rn plus I still haven't gotten the 500+ medals from the "A-rank a conquest" achievement cause I HATE conquests so *Auto corrected*ing much P.S: I spent 10$ to get Guderian early. Feel free to insult viciously so I never do this again

Focus on leveling up your HQ and tech rather than choosing generals (though obviously don't sell medals for resources). DEFINITELY focus on ads and resource wonders. Tech is probably one of the most important things in the game, so recognize that generals aren't the only necessary things. I too dislike conquests a ton, but those 1000 medals and the Armored Assault and Blitzkrieg medals are too good for you to pass up, so I recommend completing the first two conquests. For a quick win without much effort I recommend Britain in 39 and America in 43. Basically all you need to do as those two is to get one city in Spain and China and you're set, particularly if you have one OP gen for each front.

Grabbed Konev! his 40% mission was hell with just howitzers and field arty but I pulled through. Gerd von Rundstedt, should I shoot for Rommel next or get a navy gen? I'm undecided

I'm undecided I think you should be fine with tankers for now. I'm not currently fully caught up on the meta, but I believe someone like Arnold should be your next guy, slap some Crowd Tactics on him and make him your support gen while you grind to complete Nimitz 40% or get Mountbatten. Arnold then a navy. After that, I believe, is when you get Rommel.

Cause tbh Manstein functions ok as an air gen since I can just toss Guderian on tanks.

On an artillery he's safe when it comes to staying behind lines and taking advantage of CT and Rumor. Overall, he's the perfect form of a support general: air value, fast, Rumor, and CT.

I would recommend against getting Arnold before you've finished your roster with a 3-tank 2-artillery 1-navy rotation. As good as support generals are, you need 6 high-power assault generals to do anything significant in scenario. Arnold's more useful in frontier, warzone, and conquest where you either have more general slots to use, or more resources to spend on air. Some high priority generals I'd recommend (I assume you have Guderian, Manstein, and Konev: Tanks: Rommel (the third best tank overall) Navy: Donitz (the best navy overall) Lower priority generals that you could get if you're struggling to grind for those two: Tanks: Messe (a good rental general) or Vatutin (the 6th or 7th best tank overall, after Rokossovsky, Montgomery, and maybe Graziani) Artillery: Leeb (the second best f2p artillery, but he isn't gonna be too significant without upgrades), or Arnold (ok, if you REALLY want to get Arnold I guess you can slap him on an artillery and call it a day. His rumor's very good. His damage output is abysmal...) Navy: Nimitz (the second best navy; if you can clear his discount missions, he can also be a substitute air general if you're desperate), or Kuznetsov (a good rental general) Don't get any infantries or any air generals other than Arnold, and even Arnold only if you really, really want him.
