You also need to consider price when purchasing generals. Just because Mehmed supposedly destroys, it doesn't mean he's worth all the money. Would you buy a diamond for 100 times its price or several pieces of gold for cheap?
Perhaps you did purchase Mehmed, but to me, that just means you make poor financial choices. Either that or you're real lucky with the EasyTech competitions.
Once you reach the end of the game, what happens then? All your purchases and abilities become nullified by the lack of anything to do.

You don't buy medals just to acquire mehmed. You buy medals for medals; mehmed is simply a bonus gift that also happens to be one of the most powerful ranged gens.

IMO, both lines of thinking (you buy medals for the medals and get the gens and their weapons as a bonus/reward OR you pay to buy these gens and their weapons, with medals as a "bonus/reward") are logical. I view playing max Challenge Conquests as necessary chores to get the "rewards" rather than a way to have fun, with additional rewards given. But saying that one is shelling out that much just for Mehmed is misleading and torpedoing his rating just for this reason alone, instead of his value alone, is inappropriate. |

yeah... it feels inappropriate to rate such a good gen. having worth more money of all iap gens available combine.
i include in rating if you can get him with decent amount. same with charles vii(im also bitter with that one)
in skills its powerful but can you get him?
and after getting him as endgame is near is it worth it? knowing they release another gacha game.
but yes its a bonus in buying medals.

In the end, it's all about how much you believe you should spend. It boils down to how much the general means to you, how far you'd go to get them, and if endgame approaching matters at all.
