Quick tips I found for beating the turn challenge for 1960 hard. 1. NATO is way stronger then WTO like this might be AFK possible easy 2. Southern Russia is basically un defended. If you can punch through the balkans then it’s easy driving. 3. Soviets are busy biking Germany for turns 1-5 so you can sneak a couple tank gens early 4. Around turns 10-15 there’s a brief moment in time where all the soviets have left western russia around Minsk area but have not built new troops. You can sneak a general or two and take even Moscow. Watch out though, they might send one nuke at your troops if they get close to Moscow. 5. If you can blitz Iran, there’s a potential nuke free route from turkey to south eastern China if you go below the Black sea Caspian sea line 6. This is probably the most important one. If you take Greece, you can declare war on Turkey and build Super hevies out of Istanbul before the nukes start raining. I recommend 2 super hevies and a arty gen on the oil rig, go north of Black Sea and take Romania, Bulgaria, and Stalingrad before dipping south and follow a even path to New Delhi - Bangkok - Chungking- Shanghai while taking out any cities on the path like Baghdad. Build one super heavy and arty gen out of anakara after taking all Soviet airfield nuke capiable within range and go north to Kiev - Minsk - Moscow. Keep an eye out for open cities. Gl, the Greece plan is a 30 turn possible conquest and the max turn achievement is 35.

That route you pointed out works really well with countries like Italy and Greece.

Your guide works wonder, but the “nuke free” part in point 5 is kinda overstatement to me, as I had lost generals in several runs near Kunming or Chungking despite under protection of at least lvl 1 AA missiles (with radar), and from time to time generals moving to Bangkok via southern Burma would be attacked by missiles (the most ridiculous missile attack I took was in Makassar Strait southeast of Borneo).

There's certainly an element of rng involved. When playing as France, I took the direct route east and surprisingly no general died. And, coming from Greece as suggested in the guide, dying in China shouldn't make a big difference when you already conquered most of USSR and Middle East (as well as Northern Africa)
