Hi all, I'm new on this forum, I've been reading quite a lot lately about your tactics, your generals and stats, etc... I'm still a bit confused in all that, so some help would be welcome. I'm now at Gunpowder Age, near Industrial Age, I just got Bismarck (like yesterday) and I don't know what is the next step for me regarding my generals and stats. So, my lineup, as for today, would be:
Saladin 5*, Logistics lvl 5, paladin set Blutcher 5*, Rumour lvl 10, Nobunaga 5*, Leadership lvl 6, Alexander 4*, (all skills lvl 1) Barbossa 4*, all skills 1 Li Shimin 4*, all skills 1 Bismarck 5*, all skills 1
Apart from that, I have Lincoln 4* Logistics lvl 4, and no one else (which means they're still 1 or 2*). I've seen a lot of people saying that Pachacuti in his awakened is actually good, or that catherine is a good archer general. I'd like some advices to see wheter I should upagrde my general skills rn (such as Alexander or Barbossa) or actually going for other generals.. or both. I have 4000 medals and have not even finished the gunpower campaign, looking for a good 5500 medals. What should I do next, who are the best generals, where should I invest my medals. Also, what is UST-Nera, I don't wanna spend literature on something useless. And for the fun, I would like to say that Saladin, as for today, until the GunPower age... is the GOAT. His Logistics makes him unkilleable with 3000 HP. Anyways,
Thank you very much

His Logistics makes him unkilleable with 3000 HP. Anyways, Thank you very much In the early campaigns there is no need to focus on having a commander lineup, since free generals and the cheap coin generals (Moctezuma, for instance) are enough. But soon you will have to decide on one of the three categories. I suggest archer commander since they can avoid retaliation and you get some generals with both archer comm and leadership (the most useful skill in the game). Pachacuti, Li Hongzhang and Nelson are really good to have. Jhansi can be ok. Nobunaga will still be the MVP because he has the double attack perk and both leadership and spy. Remember also that having gold generals (i.e. the IAPs and Alexander, Caesar, Suleiman, Li Shimin) will mean having to spend more medals to upgrade them, compared to what you would spend for purple or blue generals. About Bismarck: to save medals, keep him at lvl 5 (5 yellow stars) as you first obtained him. At higher levels he loses the ability to avoid retaliation and his stats don't improve that much

Ust-Nera is a city with side battles. 4 trails for the 4 classes of units (inf, arch, cav and arty). The rewards are medals, unique equipment (Alexander, Saladin, Yi Sun-sin, or Bismarck, for the trail corresponding to their class), and badges (also corresponding to the trails).
You'll need to have 6-8 good gens, with all their skills and statuses upgraded, from every class with good equipment to 3* clear everything. I rate this as an endgame to post-endgame extra content. Can be ignored for other, more important and easily cleared stuff like Achievements.
Given your love for Saladin, I recommend Atilla to give yourself a cav lineup edge. It'll help Saladin raise his atk power and more readily defeat enemies to make use of Logistics. Also, the above comment on an arch lineup is also worth considering. You'll want them to support Saladin as well.

First, thank you.
So, overall, I could upgrade both alexander and barbossa to 5* and giving barbo, let's say, a 6-7 leadership lvl, hence making him a strong infantry gen. Then, I could consider buying Attila to make myself a cav lineup? And there's something I'm not sure I understand. Are Leadership and Spy applied on the ennemy at the same time? Let's say Nabunoga strikes an opponent with both Spy and Leadership, both are applied even tho we only ''see'' one on the screen? I've to this realisation when Blutcher rumored an ennemy while my archer decreased its attack by 50%. When the rumour wore off, the decrease was still there. So both would be applied? Thank you

Thank you Leadership, spy and rumour can all be applied at the same time but only one will show; you can verify by looking at the enemy's stats before and after each hit. If I were to takeover from your position I'd get Attila first then either Nelson or Li H and leave Alex & Barb at 4* for now, maybe bring them back in the team for hard mode where you can field >8 gens. They're both good generals but as you have Sally & Blucher a cav commander (or 2) will boost both of them and you'll want at least 4 slots for archers and arty.

Therefore, I should upgrade Spy on Noba? If so, at which lvl? (let's say minimum 6 to have the 2 round effect on the opponent) Also, should I upgrade rumour on Bismarck? (and upgrade Li Shimin on 5*?) Since I would need to buy Attila, + the upgrade it will cost me, in terms of Medal, where should I spend them first (between Attila, its skills, rumour on bismarck, spy on noba) Thank you

Guaranteed atk down (lvl 10) + maximum debuff effects = improved survivability for your gens. As for Rumour, the odds are not favourable, but only if you have excess medals once your core team is set up. Atilla's most important features are his aura and Braveness. Aura then Braveness, IMO. Remember to pish towards 10 missions per refresh and 20 medals per mission clear. 640 medals a day, at least, is very good income.

Perfect, thank you. I will upgrade it to 10. As for Spy, do I need it upgrade now, or after I'm done with Attila? And yes, with the refresh, the daily income (because of my princesses) + the Nordic Trials, I do have a good weekly income of medals. In all, very great advices from you (all). This forum is reallyy awesome.

You didn't mention your arena level. Awaken Pacha is good, but not unlockable until arena 18. I would assume you are nowhere near it.
Since you have saladin/blucher, then attila/suri is a good buff for that. I would suggest you to buy attila, then spend medal on update both attila/suri to rank 5. Suri skill is cheap, go all the way to 10 for her skill. Attila you might want minimum 6, 5, 1. Then push further to comm like Oda said. Blucher, you will need his armor master to at least level 6 Saladin you have the minimum skill level for him. Push logistic for 10.
That's a lot medal for now, but tons of free medals/day, you should reach that in about 2 weeks daily active.
