Modao+VR+IBC would be a combination if you agree? I will test this combination in Expedition and Territory, so I will let you know the results. I think William Wallace is a better candidate than Su Dingfang.

Also your logic is correct, it would have to be Modao + VR + IBC. VR in middle to boost morale and provide 15% reduction against ranged attacks (hopefully it does not die to charge cav), IBC to counter all ranged units, Modao to counter charge + provide additional dmg reduction with talent. Please let me know the results of this test, and afterwards, your conclusion about the best lineup for Wallace. I'm thinking either VR or Lombard like you mentioned, I don't think Scottish adds much value especially because AI does not know how to use the traps to regain 10% hp. |

As I feared, the VRs are too soft for Territory mode, in the test they were the first to die because they took a lot of damage from the Charg Cav. They were even dying while Def Inf still had more than 50% health. Thanks to their fifth skill, the legion never had low morale, which is a great advantage in the test when we manually control our General, and in Expedition mode they proved to be a useful part of the legion.        |

hrabrimalitoster Thank you so much for performing this test!!! Ahh I see it is as you feared, the VW dies too quickly. I guess to deal with morale issue we should either put phalanx or lombard (I'm leaning towards lombard). It's still good to know that VW solves the issue of morale though. Yes I might use this line-up in conquest or in expedition because morale drop is very problematic, otherwise I will try to max my lombard, IBC, and Modao because that seems like the most promising line-up.

Nice choice, but why not build the castles right next to the main city?
2nd check: Unless you've a really good team, gens up to 15k power are the limits for many of us.

The musket has some counterattack damage buffs at lvl. 4. It also has the ignore defense thing. Only caveat is that it doesn't do well against dodge.

I placed a line of fortifications as a barrier to slow down the enemy to give William Wallace time to raise his morale. If I had placed them right next to the city when the enemy entered the castle in the next turn, they would have received the protection of the wall, and it would have been more difficult for my general to attack because he would have done less damage. |
