I was thinking of doing a movie or a anime series of WC3, The series or movie could be about a Soldier that fights in all the campaigns in the game, WW2 Europe, WW2 Asia, Cold War, Aliens. The second Idea could be about a child that plays WC3 and after downloading a strange mod and after he opens it, he enters the game and has to fight with the surviving countries to defeat the Aliens who have the technology to get the Protagonist back to his world. (Yes I'm Talking about the Alien Conquest).
So........ What do you think, I already asked Easyetch by sending a mail, they have not said anything, maybe we can ask a Indie Animator to make at least the series. Any Ideas? If someone wants to do the movie or the anime film, Just tell me so I can at least know.

I had in the past wrote a Glory of Generals fanfic for self-entertainment, which the plot was exactly “a lieutenant colonel isekai-ed into parallel world and fights in all WW2 campaigns”, and I found it hard to reasonably explain how the MC switching sides or attending concurrent battles in war zones very far apart, even with the subtle use of time travel I still couldn’t work all Allies campaigns into a single schedule like I did with those of Axis, so I think the “a Soldier that fights in all campaigns” approach is less feasible than the “child isekai-ed” approach, though changing the MC from one person to several would make things easier. Another problem you have to face is the “emptiness” of the WC3 map, which has fewer cities and properties than in Glory of Generals series for you to explain everybody’s whereabouts, let alone those named (especially in North Africa). To make things worse, different maps depicting the same area may not be consistent or even inaccurate at all (e.g. Stalingrad never appears in its correct location in Operation missions), which is quite a source of headaches. |

Well, The World Conqueror games have a very basic Geography, so it's a bit hard to make realistic stuff. But I really didn't know that you tried something with Glory of Generals. Could you send me the link to your post please? As for the thing of the soldier fighting in all fronts, I thought that maybe there could be five main characters.
1) A German general in WW2, Cold War, and Aliens. (Ex enemy of the MC but after ww2 is a friend)
2) a Japanese general in Asia. (He dies in the mission Destination: Tokyo.)
3) a Russian general in the eastern front, cold war and aliens. (Is a friend of the MC but fights him in the Cold War and later Joins the Aliens as a traitor of Humanity.)
4) An Allied general in all the missions. (the main character.)
5) An Alien commander. (the bad guy in the final season)
I just love fanfics of Easytech cause there is a lot in those games they could milk out. Comics, Movies, collectibles, etc.....
Maybe we could do the next thing, you could get a animator and you ask me for the chapters, I write the and later we polish them. Sounds good?

My fanfic was intended for CN forum but the GoG community there died down before I could finish even the Axis Western Front, so it was abandoned at least 5 years ago, I’m not even sure where I had tucked the drafts away. As for the animator thing, I don’t have any tie that can get you one nor I had the enthusiasm for fanfic any more after more than 5 years of “wake up, work, sleep” working life, sad. Looking forward to see your work materialize into any form, cheers. |

Geez. I'm sorry. I sadly don't have any contacts of animators of any kind. I also don't have any currency so I don't have anyone to pay on. I once asked a guy in Youtube to make me a animated story.(Nothing to do with WC3) I said hi that I didn't have any money but I told him the whole story, and all he said was: Is this a joke? But thanks, your uplifting my morale and who knows. Maybe we can get a animator some day or Easytech could do that someday. I also hope for your Glory of General story to materialize to. And tell me, What happened to Glory of Generals? I mean the game died and the community except for one two guys is gone. It's like a tragic death for that game.

Geez. I'm sorry. I sadly don't have any contacts of animators of any kind. I also don't have any currency so I don't have anyone to pay on. It’s just the game being old and everything is primal comparing to games starting from WC3 and EW4. For the fanfic, I don’t really know if I gonna pick it up again, since the inaccuracy of the game’s map limits location description to child-play level while the general system offers very little for a “play the game from inside” approach, and I don’t want to write a story that has a lot of “miracles” in the Axis storyline. In fact, Glory of Generals 3 seems to be a better choice for the series’ fanfic (though the lack of Far East campaigns is disappointing). |

Well some games sadly end like this.
Wolfenstein for example is another example of a awesome game that died and it never got a movie too. So I think that sadly Glory of Generals came to an end. I remember that even though I never played the game, my little brother always played Glory of Generals 3. So it still cheered a lot of people when it was still alive. I'm pretty sure that the same will happen to World Conqueror 3 and World Conqueror 4, because the last games Easytech has been doing are from the European War saga, and they changed it alot from European War 4. So I don't think they will be a WC5.

I'm pretty sure that the same will happen to World Conqueror 3 and World Conqueror 4, because the last games Easytech has been doing are from the European War saga, and they changed it alot from European War 4. So I don't think they will be a WC5. I do say Glory of Generals 3 is the definitive last work of GoG and WC lines, as it gameplay-wise has all the good of WC2 (strategic cards), GoG (generals for hire and map terrain) and WC3 (general skill system). The only two problems are the lack of China war zone and the Axis campaign “storyline” was more unrealistic than GoG1 (just realized this after I wrote the last post). |
