This is from now on the official Tactician thread to apply and also serves as a chatroom for members of the group.
To join you must pass a quiz of 4 questions. The categories for the quiz are: Ancient (covering Persian Empire up to fall of Rome), Medieval (From fall of Rome to discovery of America), Renaissance (from discovery of America to American Revolution), Industrial (from American Revolution to end of WW1) and Modern (Interwar and up)
You only need a 3/4 to get in, and you are granted a retake if you fail.

The Companions were the King's personal Macedonian cavalry which were on the right wing if I recall correctly. Thessalian cavalry was also part of Alexander's army. 2. Thick forest. I'm not a geography expert, but a thick dark German forest. 3. Testudo 4. Hannibal Barca

Which WW2 theatre was known for the incompetence of its Generals and its harsh climate in certain areas, leading to it being a meatgrinder for both sides? 4. By the way, by "two possible answers" I meant you only had to give one, I was looking for Companions or their Greek name, the Hetairoi. But I will still take it as a correct answer. 4/4
