Hey guys!
I’ve been playing this game for a while using the tips posted here. I’m a f2p player and I haven’t faced any unbeatable challenges — until chapter 14, The Hundred Years’ War II (normal). I can’t pass mission 2, the siege of Rouen. There are some YouTube guides but they are trash for a f2p player — people have maxed troops + maxed templars and p2w generals.
So my question is — is it possible to continue playing as a f2p player? I’ve been stuck on this mission for 3 weeks, and the only way of gaining resources is territory mode. I have lots of generals: Alfred with 170 cav capability and lvl 9 noble cav, Cnut with 147 inf capability and lvl 6 Varangians and so on (including Timur, El Cid, Bruce, Basil, Nevsky— the list is long). What is the problem? Should I focus on upgrading generals’ units? Or, if I decide to p2w, will Richard be enough to finish the game? Thanks!

Half of the players here a f2p, so there's no need to be discouraged  By the looks of it your main problem is the level of your units. Realistically you can't hope to beat late campaigns with lvl 6 Varangians and even with lvl 9 Noble cavalry. So it's time to stop purchasing generals and invest all your medals in scrolls. I bet you haven't completed all available conquests on normal difficulty as well. It's time to complete them now, since it is one of the best sources of different resources including medals. Truth be told, you have potential as Tactician. I am really surprised you have unlocked 100 years war with lvl 6 Varangians  But now your units are simply not up to the task. Improve them and positive results come in no time 💪 |

Agree. Easytech games are designed so even f2p players can complete it. It takes more time and grinding, but is doable. Importantly, it can be too easy (=boring) for p2w players, so being f2p has advantages (actual challenges) |

For me, a p2w player, I just play the game to complete it at this point. There are few challenges so I'm not doing anything besides wasting time.
It's more interesting for a f2p player because they actually get to (and have to) think through the levels.

Agree. Easytech games are designed so even f2p players can complete it. It takes more time and grinding, but is doable. Importantly, it can be too easy (=boring) for p2w players, so being f2p has advantages (actual challenges) as a f2p i feel... i dont know... hurt? i dont want to grind anymore. grinding=boring. the game already ends. like other games ex: gcr. there is no challenge if you use war drums. i want to finish it. and some of it only beatable via war drums. ex: epic battles |

Yet, almost two years have passed and the project runs out of steam. Let's patiently wait for their new project and hope that they still have plans for EW7.

They haven't unlocked 21+LV for the upgrade yet, what's up with that? So I believe that there will be another campaign or some other content, like Epic War in GCR, something like that. Otherwise, the very strange way they ran this game, as if they threw in a bunch of things because they just thought of it, such as the talent system, a bunch of generals, general redesigns (Khalid, Basil, Hardrada...), new resources , new equipment, new skills, new abilities... All in all, a very strange development of the game. |

It doesn't necessarily mean they will neglect EW7 altogether, but it is a sign, I think, that they think their job is done here. Though, I admit, Discord is not the most reliable source. As I understand, it was created by the guy who knows another guy from ET . But since it operates with the blessing of ET, it probably has some reliable information about future plans of the company. |

Bro, this is unrelated, but I promised you one day EW7 would have got Basil’s and Hardrada’s hero legends xD. Now only Simeon’s and Martel’s missing |

There's a trick to beat the mission pretty easily.
1. Use Alfred's active to attack the cities. The insanely buffed enemy gen will give a speech and run away. Let him run away so you can take the city easily. Use siege enquipment and war drums if necessary.

War drums should be removed from the game... At this point they just sit around in my inventory collecting dust. They slash difficulty of game for everyone anyways. |
