I was a bit pessimistic due to the critics before the update but I think this map is actually fun. Not to mention vast amaount of resources you get from titles. I think very few number of cities in the map is the key of that fun compare to other maps especially Century of Iron which is the main extra large map. How do you find this map? I guess this is the end game material?

My first thoughts were somewhat mixed. After firs try, I actually liked it a lot. I like having big map, preferably the whole Europe (and, well, then some), but I don't like how long and tedious Century of Iron map was due to the enormous spam, especially on challenge conquest.
After few tries now, it actually depends how I approach it; its nice to speedrun for capitals and take quick victory if I just want to grind for rewards or try out new factions like the mongols.
But on the other hand, it is actually too empty, and that kinda kills the impression if you want to have fun and have more "realistic" conquest just for the sake of it. Maybe challenge conquest in this map could be fun. Or, despite fewer cities, the spam could be even worse due to larger map. I guess I'll find out when I start to do those.

I think even the challenge mode will be easier than of century of iron due to fewer number of factions and cities/castles. It could be possible to bribe maybe most of the map and conquer the rest. Although I wonder how the hostilities among factions will be different than of normal mode. If they fight it may be one of the easiest challenge maps.

Try The Turks challenge level 80 😂 it’s insane… I’m F2P with pretty much maxed units and I had to use hundreds of war drums. Century of iron is a piece of cake compared to this

I don't know, guys... I haven't played it yet, but I honestly think, that a real history is more fascinating that a fantasy. Large map of 13th or 14th century would be more appropriate as the last (presumably) conquest period.

it seems most of users here enjoy the fantasy map.
but i HATE it. maybe im the only one here.
yes, few cities in maps. long to reach. which means they spam before capturing it. also few income to bribe. plus many cities lv5
no nation to join in the game: ex the barbarians in barbarian invasion.
i feel its bland. i didnt even enjoy it. the waiting is so much long unlike century of iron.
but i like the changing flag and consul. but the changing of title for AI is scripted. they didnt need to capture specific city to obtain. also the titles everconfusing. like turn of gaels then ireland then scotland without scottish lands.

Yeah I shall do that in due time but I am not completely f2p I have some generals like charlemagne. But I couldnt see how the fantasy challenge is harder than the CoI? Sure there are some more favorable factions to play/farm challenge but as a map I cant see why CoI would be easier and quicker with more enemies and castles around.
I put CoI - County of Toulouse 80pts challenge on top.If you try pls let me know how it goes 😅

In Europa conqueror every single nation around Turks becomes hostile by turn 3-4 and even though some are also supposed to fight each other, that doesn’t seem to stop them from sending all their troops to you. In my first playthrough, I eliminated 3 around me quickly and bribed another 2 till the end but the endgame spam is overwhelming without war drums. Just try it out and see for yourself

Pointless card. This is not a hardcore challenge with tough fantasy opponents, like in Rome, but just a hodgepodge from different eras and countries. It seems that the developers are tired of thinking about the conquest plot...

in this map which country would be the most powerful if each country could only use her own generals and mercenary units, all fully upgraded? Iap generals would be in their latest skin, some generals are available for multiple countries(like Hardrada Byzantine & Viking). Bonds are available, for example Byzantines have Justinian-Theodora bond but not Constantine's since Giovanni isn't available for Byzantines. Also, counsellor has to be from said country. Example 1 Tang dynasty: available units: hengdao, modao, BAG,JBAC, Zhuge generals: Li Shimin, Wu Zetian, Su Dingfang, Gao Xianzhi, Li Jing. I believe the contenders are Byzantines, English, French, Tang, Mongols, Vikings, Turks. My pick is Byzantines. What do you think?
