No modding/hacking or anything suspicious has been done, it's all the magic of editing.
All princesses are given a niche... and their skillset will be modified (1-2 skills mostly. Sometimes more.) to be even better at it.
I will analyze and evaluate their old & new skillsets too.
Pictures will be arranged with old skillset on the left or up, and new skillset on the right or down.
Also, Navy won't be considered except for Kate and Victoria. That means the training cost will be calculated excluding navy, except for Kate/Victoria.
1. Sophia, the fort-cracker artillery
Explosive + Siege Master lets you experience the firepower of Moreau only for cities, for siege master is accurate that applies for city evasion.
Spy adds amazing damage to forts, especially if you make Sophia sit on siege artillery. Even on 2 artillery stars, she shines with minimum damage of 50s against forts.
The new and improved Sophia has Accurate replacing Siege Master, which is a superior evasion-removing skill. Assault Art adds even more damage.
The combination of Explosive and Accurate alone lets her damage equate Moreau (when trained, of course), Assault Art adds even more firepower and Spy makes her insane against forts.
The best fort cracker in the game. Even the Murat himself is below Sophia in the fort-cracking abilities.
IIRC, Formation/Surprise/Explosive is only +2 damage, which is equivalent to Brown Bess/Blucher Sabre/Pressed Powder. Therefore, one could replace explosive with Leadership/Geography/Engineering to improve her artillery ability even further, or perhaps with strike to make her an art/cav hybrid. The imagination is up to you. I just wanted to maximize the damage possible.
Overall, she needs 3 stars on artillery, 2 stars on movement, and 3 stars on economy, which is 3375 medals in total. If you replace explosive with strike for hybrid, I guess you can also add 3 cavalry stars... (additional 1125 medals, total 4500)
The old Sophia is still good, but the new Sophia is just absolutely great. Only 1290 medals to train her artillery damage, and she will go craaaazy.
2. The economic defender
Fatimah is a cavalry-econ eneral nice for small country conquest startups. Usually she is deployed on cavaltry because that's her highest combat star. (except forts...)
With the new skill setup though, of replacing 2 skills and adding a 4th skill, she just straight up CHANGES.
Leadership + Strike gives her an actual decent output, and if 1125 medals or 3 Aghas are added, her output will be stronger than even the fearsome Austrian Archduke.
Defense Art will help with her survivability, especially if you S&L. Defense Art S&L is not as hard as you think, trust me.
BTW, if you're wondering where the Econ Master went, it went to the trash bin. One Napoleonic Code is enough to replace the skill in a superior manner... so yeah.
Architecture gets to stay, because it's doesn't have a replaceable item.
Overall, 3955 medals minimum is needed for her maxmimum useful training. Not the most needed niche, but you can employ her (in your imagination) if you have enough slots.
3. Isabela, the fast bomber
She has already has a decent output with accurate, and good movement with engineering + geography.
The new and improved version? She gets Leadership instead of the useless Ballistics. Since Isabela moves around quickly, themeatshields infantrymen couldn't move fast enough to cover her, leaving her vulnerable to cavalry attack and surroundings.
Nothing else really changed much... I just pondered, should I replace Geography with Explosive? Assault Art? Defense Art? I decided not to. Artillery, you can have 7 movement stars with engineering. Combine that with 2 movement items, 11 movement points added. This lets your artillery general have 16/17 movement points, 5 hexes of movement maximum. However, if Geography is not accounted for, we replace that movement item with a war horse. That is 14/15 movement, 5 hexes only on light artillery and rockets. I think that is enough tbh, just need to put Isabela only on light artillery or rocket. However, that's not her niche... she has to move quickly and bomb things. To maximize her niche, I left Geography there. Personal preference, I would replace Geography with Assault Art.
Overall, need 3 artillery stars, 2 movement stars, and 2 economy stars. Movement doesn't need to be maxed- there is no point. 3040 medals minimum for her maxmimum useful training.
Recommended in your final team (in your imagination)
4. Victoria, the strongest S&L infantry admiral (Admiral: Commander of the Navy) (Just means that she's inf/nav hybrid)
Victoria just has Bugle/Mass Fire for infantry skills, and the other two are S&L.
Bugle is kinda enough for infantry output, you can look at the fearsome Archduke. Only Bugle and 5 infantry stars, he's super strong. Wellesley? Leadership + Bugle makes him formidable.
Victoria has Bugle + Mass Fire, which is just Dobeln. With AA and DA, she's Dobeln but better. With even 5 training stars and 4 movement stars at the start, she doesn't need much training either. Her 4 naval stars also give decent output on Navy. There isn't really much secret to navy: Just shiny stars and big HP is enough imo. Victoria offers even more potential with AA and DA.
Not much change is needed for Victoria. I just changed Mass Fire to Leadership, and here are the reasons:
- Snare drum exists
- Healing items also exist
- But DA + 5 training stars make Victoria close to immortal so her output is not affected
- Leadership + Bugle is what makes Wellesley so formidable. Victoria could experience the same thing.
- Leadership is not a unit-specific thing, it also applies to Navy. Leadership is what makes Nelson and Jervis so powerful.
The old Victoria is still strong, but the new Victoria is even better.
Overall, need 2 infantry stars, 1 navy star, 2 economy stars, and 1 movement star. 2340 medals minimum for her maxmimum useful training. (The cheapest so far)
She's really recommended in your final team. In your imagination. Sadly.
5. Sakurako, the land hybrid
Accurate, Strike, Bugle are the most essential damage skills in land units, as they negate all evasion.
Plus, Sakurako has banner... for some reason I could not comprehend...
Aaaaanyways, she's the Archduke but on all fields, with one less movement star.
The new Sakurako just replaces banner with Leadership... because Leadship is just the most versatile skill in EW4.
Leadership + Bugle is what makes Wellesley so formidable, despite being on only 4 infantry stars.
I pondered for some time whether or not I should give Sakurako sailor for the evasion meme, but I decided not to.
Overall, hybrid with good potential. The thing is you need a load of medals to train her. 1230 for infantry, 1125 for cavalry, 1290 for artillery, 1005 for economy, and 540 for movement. 5190 medals, that definitely makes her the most expensive princess. Not really recommended as a priority, but get her if you have slots.
6. Lan, the strongest cavalry commander
But lizardpianist, isn't Lan the perfect princess??? She has every good skill working for cavalry and 5 training stars!!!!
You're not wrong... but yeah.
I just replaced Surprise with Defense Art to make her immortal as well. I often had experiences when my Lan's HP got low so quickly, so I needed that defense as well. Strike is enough for damage tbh in my opinion. Some other candidates are Bugle and Accurate, to make Lan into a Cav-Inf or Cav-Art hybrid. Leadership + Assault Art + Evasion skill = Good damage.
It's your choice ultimately, but the niche here is the strongest cav gen, so I chose DA. Spy is another valid candidate... but I chose DA nontheless for survivability. Spy is Sophia's specialty.
2165 medals minimum for maxmimum useful training! Lan beats Victoria to the cheap price. Lan gets more pricey if you wanted to give her inf/art stars for some reason... 620 for inf and 2150 for art. More than doubles her price... haha..
Anyhow, you definitely need Lan in your team, whether it be in your dreams or in reality.
7. Admiral Kate, the best Navy commander
Kate owns both navy skills. Treville and Sidney are the only other navy commanders who owns both. Even Nelson has only Navigation, dissappointingly.
Kate also has Fireproof, which greatly improves her defenses, as ships are more vulnerable to fire damage.
She's the best admiral in the game already with 2 navy stars added...
But what if leadership was added? That skill that makes Jervis and Nelson so formidable???
BOOM! You have the perfect Admiral, Kate.
In my honest and humble opinion, AA or DA could replace Fireproof. Fire can be blocked with pumper item or S&L. I just didn't want to stumble too far from her niche.
620 medals, you have the best admiral both in the game in your dreams or in reality. She's more than 3 times cheaper and easier than to get Lan/Victoria. I mean, it's not really that hard to get Lan or Victoria but... I guess some people could struggle with it.
Overall, amazing addition to your team in the infamous SNS campaign. Otherwise, go train her artillery and movement stars for land use. (2910 medals for that. 3530 total)
Ok, I just (hopefully) upgraded all princesses' skillsets and improved their niche so much more.
What do you guys think?

That's right!!!
Maria!!! I can't believe I forgot you, girl!!!
8. M A R I A (You feel yourself sweating as you approach Maria.)
Maria is a niche on her own, the meme princess for being the only one with genuinely bad abilities.
Nobleman is just a nobility-boost skill that could be replaced with Crown, or just chain the beast farming.
Mobility is useless, and formation adds just 2 damage for infantry.
Perhaps her 3 movement points, which lets all infantry move 1 more hex, is probably the only reason you'll ever use her in the start before you replace her.
What a shame, since Maria is the sexiest princess in my opinion.
The only way to save her is to just straight up replace all her skills. But, what's the point if she doesn't resemble the original?
But, behold... for I have saved Maria....
Drum rolls please!!!

INTO A MEME!!!
I have saved Maria... into a meme. No other way to save her.
This is her niche. The BEST trainer in the whole game. No medals are costed, only our hearts.
We can't fall in love with her...
Anyways, that's about it. I hope you enjoyed this... post.
Peace out!!
