I tried searching but couldn't find a discussion thread about Saladin or his new skin, apologies if there's already a thread. What do you think? This new Saladin is definitely good. 25% chance to deal double damage is quite good, also bonus +4 mobility is amazing and allows you to relocate units etc. I'm not sure what gems to equip on him (if running Dragoon, Mameluke, Mongol, maybe rapid march gem?) but yea with the 2 new abilities I think he should definitely be in everyone's territory line-up if they have him.

This is essentially a permanent ability to get 2 more attacks or a Yelu Dashi-style breaktrhough, no?
Can it be used like this? Saladin attacks a nearby unit, runs out of mobility. Then, he swaps places with it, gets +2 mobility and attack an adjacent enemy. Afterwards, he swaps places with the original, gets +2 mobility and attacks the original target again.
Plus, he lost a useless consul skill for a useful aura. Pretty good deal.
Although this means that he cannot regain HP from his active, experienced IAP players would simply have exploited ranged units' ability to strike first to cripple opponents. Plus, it's not like attacking him would be easy, so the loss of his ability to recover HP isn't a big demerit.
Also, does equipping the skin increase one's power in Territory / Expedition? It'll be a lie to say that this doesn't potentially double or triple Salah al-Din's prowess.

New Saladin is better now. I can speed run in Epic Battle and does anyone notice that his unique weapon is changed too? From % reduce damage to % increase damage

I put lvl 5 pink gem and 1 mobility gem on him and his legion: MC + IBC + Mamluk with high evasion.

It is also possible to capture city after he runs out of mobility. Just have ally or enemy next to you, swap place with it twice and with the 4 mobility you get you can usually enter the city.

I always thought his unique weapon (reduce damage and increase morale). My bad.

Saladin skin good support but I prefer a support that is not rng dependent. All he can do is make me say bye bye Baldwin on my team ... only for me to realize that I still use Baldwin without his active anyways.
