In this battle, you are boxed in by the English to the west, with 3 cities, and Burgundians to the east, with two cities. Joan of Arc would be defeated right at the start.
Friendly AI holds a target city to our north.
In Normal mode, we need to capture 4 target cities. Bonus points for recruiting 10 Genderarme cav units.
Strategy and movement:
1. The soldiers in the NE Burgundian province, led by Philip, will charge towards our ally. The province will spam troops.
You MUST prioritise saving the city. Losing it = an immediate loss. Send most of our troops to protect the city and defend against them. They should be exhausted by Turn 5-6.
2. At the same time, we need to begin our offensive and the target is the passive eastern city. Encircle the nearest castle and destroy the garrison. Beware! There will be an immediate replacement by a fresh, full legion upon destruction.
Occupy it to prevent the enemy from spawning.
3. When Philip and most of his troops are destroyed, turn your troops east of the allied city on Burgundy.
The eastern forces should begin to attack the city. Move up and take out Burgundy.
4. Around Turn 7-9, the English will start to spam troops. It seems like they are headed for the target cities (including yours). Block them.
At this point, make the critical decision to spam swordsmen. Use the iron to upgrade the western castle which belong to us (only lvl 3 French castles can spawn Genderarme cav). Every turn, with the Theodora + Justinian bond and 3 cities, you can spawn 2 of these cav units. Use them to block the English advance.
(I failed to do this and spammed war cav units which wasted my iron.)
5. In my sole win, which was on Normal, I failed to storm the NE city, even with Robert. This was because my heavy-hitters were to the east and the French starting gens are horrible. I could only hold the nearby castle.
I believe that if you succeeded, you would have the NE castle. Nevertheless, once Burgundy surrenders (after taking the two cities), turn towards the NE city.
The western and NNW cities only spam troops from the castles. Just block them.
There you go, you avenged Jeanne d'arc, the Fallen Angel of this stage.
You can summon up to 3 Reinforcement units, but you are limited by how many gens you can deploy. I summoned Robert and Subutai.
I deployed Murad II, Alfred, Alexios I, Nevsky, and Theodora + Justinian.
