Nope, but ET released an FAQ confirming the time line to be from the rise of Nobunaga Oda to the establishment of the Tokugawa / Edo Shogunate. Perhaps we'll have the Osaka Campaigns as well. I was hoping for more beyond what Koei Temco usually covers, in terms of earlier conflicts, especially the Ōnin War which is said to have been the cause of or start of the Sengoku Period. |

I wonder if we'll see a similar gameplay to EW7's Conquest in which good Consuls and economic gens are beneficial to our war effort. Nobunaga Oda, and perhaps the other two great unifying leaders were said to have reshaped Japan's economy. Of course, they were also great military commanders as well, so it may be an unpleasant situation as well. |

There are new screenshots on GP page. Mostly conquests. As I understand diplomatic mechanics are very similar if not identical to EW7. I hope that Alliances will play more important role. To be honest, diplomatic relations were very rudimentary in EW7. I recall I played some of Challenge conquests for the first time without any prior knowledge how to approach it. And after 3 turns even Scotland on the other side of the map declared war on me  Neither fun, nor realistic, if you ask me. It is an artificial way to increase difficulty. In EW6 1914 Challenge conquests were more interesting, imo. The quantity of conquests is overwhelmed in EW7, but I would like to see some quality instead. Sengoku is a period of different and situational alliances between different households. I wish we had Alliances in GCS as well. I am skeptical though... |
