Hello, I have completed all campaigns except for two missions in each of Hundred Years’ War II hard and war of roses II hard. I’m trying to get the Siege of Montargis done currently and having trouble. I have powerful gens that can destroy enemy troops, but I have hit a wall as every time the ally city gets taken before round 4, which makes it impossible for me to even get my troops over there that fast. Have Charles the great and even with his mobility I can’t get there in time to save it. Is there something I’m missing? Thanks!

I replayed it right now. Dont know what units i had the 1st time but now they are lvl 20 just fyi
If you capture the northern castle before the gen falls you dont lose. It doesnt matter that our ally looses the siege. We can just recapture everything later.
i managed taking the northern castle with aetius, pathfinder and constantines hammer (or calmness) so i am confident you can as well with charly
Murad and subutai on regular units help steamrolling.

I used Yelu Dashi to swap enemies out, then easier to protect city. But taking the north castle also works.
