Not sure how many of you all remember me, but I've come to pay a little visit. I've had always a bit of nostalgia for this forum, esp with me making guides back in the day. Any old friends, do come and say hi

AAAAHHHHH!!!
Holy cow, he's giving us a visit.
Your guides were great, I've loved every post you've made, and I'm happy you still remember this little forum. It's so great to see you firsthand.

Yeah, old platforms are dying and new ones are not good enough . The forum isn't the most crowded place when one ET game is almost finished and another one is not released yet. Nonetheless it's always nice to meet old buddies here from time to time. Actually, it is one of the two old-school forums I still visit on a regular basis. I am convinced it is the best place to visit if someone is in love with ET games. I tried ET Discord channel and to my taste it is a total mess.

I am an old fan of the game called Neverwinter Nights. It was relatively recently (several years ago) released on mobile platforms, so my old interest revived again. It has an enormous number of high quality mods, and many players are still loyal to the game. Other than that I am trying to avoid philosophical and political discussions nowadays, since I have understood finally that it is impossible to convince people to change their mind no matter what

Not that you haven given up on humanity *joking*. But that the mobile version reignited the forum. But in risk of sounding like a 50 year old right now: "it hearts your eyes, aaaah!" Why would people play mobile versions when there is a visually larger version? The release old pc game on mobile-trend is weird. 😆

I like it Having all things you like on one device is really an amazing idea. I always tried to follow one famous principle of philosophy: Omnia mea mecum porto. Now I literally can do it

I tried Neverwinter Nights once, and while I liked the new viewpoint system, I couldn't get used to the controls. Tbh, I prefer Baldur's Gate instead. Planescape Torment is also good imo, although the graphics might be off-putting to new players, but I dare say the story is perhaps the greatest in the history of gaming. But I digress. I wonder if there's anybody else into old-school RPGs, by any chance? (P.S. I'm too deep into politics to save myself, but I agree that it is indeed impossible )

Back to the original topic, welcome back, Washington! I was unfortunately late to the party by years to meet with the original generation of members, yet it still gladdens me to see forum legends back.

Out of all their games the first NWN is my main point of interest. The reason is that there is a great community there ( neverwintervault.org/ ) with literally hundreds of different adventures. Some of them are just masterpieces, better than original campaigns.

I don't know if it counts but im playing old games i missed. Same here, I also prefer older games in general. What I like the most about video games is the story and character interactions, which modern games usually seem to lack. There might be dome exceptions, that goes without saying, but it remains the same in the bigger picture, in my experience at least. I especially enjoy fully text-based games/interactive fiction, as I also like reading. It's a very niche genre though, hard to find many games in that vein Anyways, how about you? What kind of games do you like?
