I currently have 4 tank generals(Guderian, Rommel, Rokossovsky, Messe), 2 artillery generals(Konev, Leeb), 1 navy general(Nimitz).
I want to have an infantry general with rumour on it to support my other generals. Is rumour worth it on infantry generals?
I will use the infantry generals for primarily for invasions and warzones, maybe sometimes in conquests.
I see that everyone says that mannerheim is the best infantry general after yamashita. But mannerheim won’t have rumour after I add infantry leader on him… Rundstedt will have rumour, guerrillia and infantry leader/raider(which one should I choose?)
I wouldn’t want to invest much in infantry generals, but I think I will need rumour on my infantry generals.
Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks!

If you don’t feel like buying an airforce general, Rundstedt maybe the choice, but if you just want pure infantry general, then either Yamashita or Mannerheim. I think you should swap out Messe for List (Vatutin lacks blitzkrieg and movement, while armor leader wasn’t great compared to other offensive armor skills).

Mannerheim only has 1 free slot so I doubt you can put rumour on him, Rundstedt is expensive for a pure infantry general and the street fighting is a bit niche if you don’t plan to make him holding cities too often, that why he is rarely chosen over Mannerheim.

Mannerheim vs Rundstedt? Rundstedt hands down anyday.
Mannnerheim costs 1655, 6 inf, stars, 3max mobility. skills Raider, Elastic Defense, Jungle and one open slot. Colonel Rank Rndstetd. Costs.less, 6 inf. Stars, 4 max.Mobility. skills Guerilla, Elast.Defense, Street, and two open slots.M.General Rank. And max 5 stars in Air. I have Yamashita as a Pure Infantry General and is great on commando or Trucks, Rundstedt and Macarthur mech.inf. for busting forts, cities or even ports, and even Graziani and Nimitz for warzone infantry backups. *Now that Simo Hayha is out, im considering buying him. He is the best infantry and a danger to even Armor or arty with his +2 range.
As far as air generals, Yamamoto can replace any, (and Nimitz) just give him a star in arty, rumor and maybe cover and he`s a SEAL. For these warzones and now events, hybrids and Commanders like Rundstedt and Monty, who have elastic defense, will be valuable. Put them in a city, or on a plain, surrounded alongside allies,forts/bunkers, and Monty with crowd tactics and crossfire and see for yourself. Friendly units gain +30 for Crowd tactics, and Crossfire damage increases 60, with medals i had no use for. He can hold a defense line.
I made the 30 rounds,in Mannerheim line, first try, and only Guderian is maxed. Good luck.

I only held out until round 15. My center is holding strong with land forts and a few generals but my left flank is overrun as my forts are destroyed by Zhukov and the super heavy tanks, and it is impossible to build forts there as there are a bunch of cruiser and carriers. My right flank is partially overrun. I also have land forts there, around 3-4 super heavy tanks units broke my land fort line.

Mannerheim is bad, plain and simple. Don't even try to get him.

Infantry are mainly bunker busters, and I've found simo's damage to be poor. I'll stick with Yama and Marshall, Marshall being the obvious better p2w inf gen.

Simo might be glitched in the current version. His crit is wc3 version crit.
As for Mannerheim vs Rundstedt: neither. I'd rather get Clark.

I just bought mannerheim yesterday… Did I make a wrong choice? What should I do now? Should I sell mannerheim for Clark? Also may I know how is Clark good? I see that he has infantry leader and raider but he has very low infantry stars and is quite expensive too.

YDE, Simo Hayha is a joke? You must not know how to play him. Knowing how to use tools is what decides what is good, not to mention the unheard of, +2 range for Simo on infantry troops or elite unit. Example of how to use gens., i bet i could beat a maxed out Nimitz on an AC....At Sea... with just a non maxed Graziani, as is mine...a mediocre hybrid. im sure SIMO can give any other infantry commander a run for their money, and even arty units, possibly tanks. His mobility is just another overlooked factor.
We both agree Mannerheim is a low class silver tier commander, but as far as the other new Commanders, ive not had an opportunity to use any.
