Well, he is difficult to assess because of his unique set of skills. On paper he looks stronger than Yamashita.

Btw how does Infantry group charge even work?
When it triggers, do infantry units just make another move? Or does it look like some kind of a simultaneous attack?

If you have two infantry troops next to Marshall when he attacks, they attack at the same time. This can give massive (500+) damage, and has incredible synergy with his first skill meaning he's almost always at full health. Finally, this also goes really well with Simo Hayha because Simo can be "behind" Marshall and still attack the same target. Note that it appears that the infantry units can have moved, but can't have attacked yet. Then they can attack "again" after Marshall.

Marshall with excellence medal with 2 other infrantry generals. Now that's a lotta damage especially if they were up against fortresses in mech inf with explosives.

Unless you have two explosive infantry generals and Marshall with excellence medal against cities and fortresses
