I followed Mansteins guide and bought Bag first, then Ozawa, and am now working towards Guderian. A good air general can go a long way:P

I'm just following Mansteins guide. Most of it is what I usually do, anyways, and his is just more efficient.

Don't buy Ozawa, I made that mistake! It's much better to buy Fletcher(new york). Not only are his stats better he also has better abilities and costs less!

Don't buy Ozawa, I made that mistake! It's much better to buy Fletcher(new york). Not only are his stats better he also has better abilities and costs less! Actually, the advice is: don't buy Flechter because it's more worthwhile to save up for someone like Yamamoto. Ozawa is recommended based on his low price and high efficiency. Fletcher costs 330 more medals for ONE extra star and slightly better skills that doesn't contribute much anyway. So the rundown... Ozawa and Fletcher, both of their skills aren't the main attraction so Fletcher's (slightly) greater skills means nothing. Fletcher's stars has only one more for Air than Ozawa while Navy and Marching is same. Hardly a huge difference. Costs... this is where Ozawa is without a doubt the superior choice. 560 vs 890, a difference of 330. So now, the whole point of buying Ozawa is to buy someone who is reasonable cheap enough for a beginner but contribute real value to the player. Fletcher is just a middling navy general that isn't worth it. It makes no sense to purchase a Navy general in mid-range quality and price. Either do so with a cheaper general or save up for Yamamoto (or buy Eisenhower which is a pretty good Navy general too but Manstein would be the best first cash purchase instead).

Fletcher?! He is basically just upgraded slightly and more expensive then Ozawa. The less expensive is wrong I think you were looking at King.

Yeah. Gonna have to agree with everyone else. Don't let the stats of some generals confuse you, friend. Some abilities are just completely useless, and one extra star doesn't mean much (Maybe 2:P). Also note that, like Manstein said, you lose a portion of your medals when selling generals. Better to buy cheap:P

Don't let my stats fool you. Just because I have gold stars in marching doesn't mean I'm good Infantry.
