For a maxed out Guderian with explosive, which of the two skills do you think is better? How about for other tank commanders?

In my opinion, the WC3 Inspiration meta is similar to WC4 Inspiration meta, and because of the nature of panzers, Inspiration > Plain Fighting. But in artillery, Plain Fighting > Inspiration unless there is an elite artillery with multi attack or a general with self-propelled artillery

I see, even when accounting for the medal buffing Plain Fighting? You don't have plains everywhere but you can have high morale everywhere.

Guderian probably has 3 medals already for PL, AA and Blitz so no plain medal. And 15% extra dmg should be more than +25 flat dmg.

I ran some quick tests: Guderian and Manstein, both have max AA, Manstein has max PF, Guderian has max inspiration.
I leveled both to max, and conducted all tests while both inspired, both on tier 3 heavy tanks in the Poland mode.
When Manstein is inspired, PF typically does a decent bit more damage. The 15% more (which should be on top of the damage boost from actually being inspired) from inspiration did not seem to beat it.
Do keep in mind that it was easier to actually be inspired, though.

journeykeen, hmmm. Interesting. Is there a post about how the damage dealing system works? For example, a triple-stacked heavy tank has a default damage of 61. We put a general on it. Let's assume the general in question has 4 stars in tanks and maxed (lvl5) plain fighting and non-maxed (lvl1) inspiration. 4 stars add +18 damage and PF adds another +25, while inspiration adds +3%. So is it (61+18)*1.03+25 = 106.37 Or (61+18+25)*1.03 = 107.12?

To confirm he was max level on that super tank and you had the PF medal equipped? The opening question was about inspiration or plain on a guderian who already has explosive. That's why I assumed that there was no space for plain fighting medal and went for +25 terrain as stated.
Since Inspiration is a multiplicative effect, average damage depends on the unit's base damage and also on the level of red ribbon. As can be seen, lv4 red ribbon leads to almost equal outcome for plain <-> inspiration. Lv5 red ribbon (or high level elite forces) will tilt the scales towards inspiration.

Does Inspiration work for Air Commanders, Sea or Land? Had Yamamoto with Eagle Air superiority medal, Air/fleet/aces medal, and a 3 degree ribbon, and he was doing about 175 damgage
