Should I put inspiring on manstein instead of rumour? I've maxed him out with the other skill being explosives. I've also got the level 2 tank attack and level 2 defence ribbon on him. With 4 attacks per round(excellence medal level 7) he's been nuking stuff especially in frontier(can get up to 400 damage on the weak fortress). Maybe if you already have enough panzer generals with rumour, you may put Inspiring to Manstein instead. |

I might do some tests. Will stick with rumour for now as he can solo a lot of flanks with it as well as bully anyone in a 'fistfight' especially terrorists. He's also only got 60% blitzkreig as well. But the good thing is, with excellence medal, he can kill terrorist inf general in one round especially if they are in a city.
Without rumour he'll need to stick with some other generals unfortunately.

Inspiring and rumour seems to be quite likeable for me. Including konev's crowd tactics it could be devastating. Plains is too situational and the only bad thing is I can't do as much damage to fortresses in frontier.
Maybe chucking explosives on konev instead of rumour might work. Maybe even crowd tactics on Rommel instead of konev. Won't have blitzkreig or rumour but isn't much of a hassle with excellence medal on manstein and Rommel will be support. Rommel also has that mobility to catch up to manstein.
Better not to overcomplicate things though.

Tank medal and Manstein. With the new update Manstein is the best general in the game. Just realized you don't think excellence medal is a better purchase than these two? |

Plain fighting is way too situational from personal experience. Tanks can hit multiple targets and get inspired really easily especially my manstein with excellence medal. With plain fighting it's harder to circle units and also you don't take any damage reduction. 20% is a lot. I usually send troops on mountains or jungles if possible especially when facing hard hitting generals.
Inspiring is most effective with crit hits imo. The more upgraded your ribbons are and crit%, the more effective inspiring is going to be as inspiring is percentage base and not flat damage like pf.
