Need help You need good ship units and generals and/or some 20 rations. If you haven‘t used many up to this point then now is the time to use them. I went through the fire and had the enemy general use his skill (which easily can sink one of our ships) before going back into the water

For this consider moving your troops to the land and letting the enemy ships die when the map gets smaller. Not sure if it works since I just healed my troops à bunch instead but in hindsight could work

Need help Go to the fire path. Try to kill the ones attacking you. I killed only one and that is the one that is on the fire path at the side of the boss. You need to bait one of your allies. You need to get your weakest one go to the other side first then if it's healthy you can use it as a bait but be reminded about the boss skill. With my strat while I didn't use any ration but I still have a two regen items with 30 and 35 hp regen.

First of all I agree that you have to have special ships for all your generals. Then it depends on your setup if you have enough rations it will be easier but I was able to pass them with one ration for the bait general (hideyoshi). You almost certainly need a strong bait because you only need to pass the blockade, you dont have to fight them all. What I did was setup my playstyle around Suzuki+shimazu, I really like the duo. I land Suzuki at the start and hit 3 times with shimazu skill. Note that attacking from land is way too powerful compare to a naval attack, dont know why. With that attack I make a path towards 3 ship blockade and fight my way. Here my hideyoshi was holding ships from other side. Once I was in front of the blockade I left a space between them and one of them left the blockade! And I was able to slip through while Suzuki+shimazu destroyed another obstacle around.
This was long but what I can say in short is you dont have to fight them all and hit them from land once or twice. Suzuki is super good here because he can shoot 3 times and move back to sea without any damage from poison or fire in a single turn. Give some crit items to suzuki if you can, good luck.

No one grabbed the bait, but I blasted a hole in the middle of the enemy formation (2 ships) and took out the rightmost blockading ship. The top right ship tried to flank me and got absorbed by the creeping borders.
Hideyoshi went down, but Shimazu barely survived.
Except the 1000-koku ship, all F2P ships were used. Gens used: Hideyoshi, Yoshihiro, Ieyasu, Motochika and Motonari.
Lvl 7 special forces vs lvl 17 enemies.
Side-track: who's the Hime waiting for us? I noticed that the Hime logo on mine disappeared after clearing the first battle.

Side-track: who's the Hime waiting for us? I noticed that the Hime logo on mine disappeared after clearing the first battle. The locations of the princesses are random, I think. If you miss one, it will be available on the following day somewhere else. Only Yoshihime requires building a specific city in the east.

I'm fairly sure they're tied to the husbands' legacies or their own, specifically for the first time one finds them. It's just that there was a Hime logo on Kokura and it just vanished. No noble lady / princess showed up when the city was mine.
