Has anyone done it? How did you do it?
The objectives are changed from those of normal mode's. Now you have to kill every target units and not let any escape.
My generals(*) deal around 200 damage on average, that means it takes about 5 hits to kill an average enemy unit, 6 for cavalries and more for those with generals. And let's not forget that the enemies hit very hard too.
(*): Kinoshita Hideyoshi, Maeda Keiji, Suzuki Shigehide, Chosokabe Motochika, all lvl30, each on their specialized troops.
I tried to form a barricade where I could fit my 5 generals but the enemies always overwhelm it. At anywhere else the enemy always finds enough troops to beeline through my zones of control. Once the reinforcement troops appear it's virtually game over.
I have a stockpile of healing items but I think it's a waste using it when I don't have a winning plan in my mind.
It kinda feels like bad difficulty scaling at this point.

If you still haven't given your Masamune a unit yet, do it. NPC Masamune is pretty terrible.

It is still pretty hard even if you manage your strategy unless you have decent generals and units. Enemy swarm and reinforcement make you bleed heavily, so rations are needed if you cant kill them on sight. Main strategy is to block the first two units as noted above but the fight will depend on what you got. In this fight I actually learned the blocking mechanism a bit. It is like one unit is able to block one unit effectively. If there is one unit blocking three units at the start, when you attack the blocking unit with one of your own, blocking will loose. I noticed that when I was trying to catch one cavalry in this fight. You can actually disturb the blocking, let me know if you have a more clear view on this 🙂

Thanks everyone! I did it! Looking at stoic 's screenshots I deduced that my problem was forming a barricade too far from the castle, I did it near the ambush area so the barricade got overrun quickly when the scripted reinforcement came. On the latest try I moved to form a barricade near the castle (at approximately where they are in stoic 's screenshots) and it did wonders! Half the enemies were preoccupied with pathfinding a way around the barricade they didn't do damage to my troops at all. I finally managed to finish this library chapter. Thanks again!
