I see a competitor in Honda Tadakatsu but no one has successfully gotten him, right? I've got Honda at 2 stars and and Maeda at 3 stars (soon to be 4), so I think I can make a decent comparison. Their valor is pretty comparable for their levels, but the extra sets of Maeda we get has obviously pushed him further along than Honda. Honda's special unit is Hatamoto, which is locked along with Usagi, who also uses Hatamoto, while Horoshu is pretty easy to unlock. Their passive skills seem very similar in usefulness to me, perhaps someone with more analytics might make some distinctions though. Honda does have his own 2 piece set, but the second item is broken blade locked, the rarest currency so far, and only advances Ikki-Uchi, his most useless skill. The big difference I see is in their active skills, because the push-back function of Honda's skill is frankly a pain. Maeda not only has a chance to wound generals, and a shorter cool-down, but you can reliably use Skill first and Attack second, sometimes eliminating an enemy without taking any damage. Honda on the other hand punts his enemies out of attack range, so you have to finesse the situation a bit more. I also have Yamanaka at 3 stars (useful to grind silk cloth), and he moves far and hits hard on his Elite Cavalry. His valor is not as good though, and his Active is trash, but between the 3 of them I feel pretty solid for Cavalry generals. My first pick still has to be Maeda Keiji though, he really is excellent. Me too (after selecting Sanada Yukimura and Takeda Shingen that is ). Wounding generals is nice trait to have but pushback enemies just feels like an inconvenience, especially if the enemy dies when getting pushed back anyways.

Agree with your points he’s great one, Maeda is good even though I have 3 golden cavalry generals(Takeda, Ueseugi, Sanada) but still he’s my 1st in reserve list. Honda passives & set are good which make him among the best cavalry generals but his active skills is kinda too situational & not much useful.

My Maeda Keiji does not have Akazonae cavalry so I have him on the best cavalry I have. I have Shibata Katsuie also who uses the Horoshu Cavalry as the game suggests. I use him more often than I do with Maeda now. But, when I do use two cavalries, I use both of them. Here are my main generals: Infantry: Kinoshita Hideyoshi Cavalry: Shibata Katsuie/Maeda Keiji Archer: Tokugawa Ieyasu Musket: Suzuki Shigehide War Gear: Sun Chengzong Ship: Murakami Takeyoshi (When there is a naval battle) Those are my best generals right now. If I had the gold generals of the ones I have the purple generals, I would use the gold generals. I am just starting to get the special sets for the generals. I am still learning the game. If anyone wants to be friends with me on Facebook, here is my gaming profile: www.facebook.com/DanaPhoenix4205. If you request a friend request, let me know how you got my profile from. Any advice you can give me will be greatly appreciated. Btw, they really need to add a lot more generals and special units for each general, instead of having some generals having the same special unit like Shibata Katsuie and Maeda Keiji, both having the Horoshu Cavalry as their special unit. I hate to choose which one will use the Horoshu Cavalry since both are very good cavalry generals. My highest rank for my generals is rank 3.
