I will be trying to run for Lan soon-ish, and this begs the question of whether to buy another slot for a trainer or regroup one of the weaker princesses into her (probably Maria) to keep the current seven.
In the event that I choose the latter, does anyone know the hard numbers for how much nobility and rank transfers over in a regroup?
One could always take the third option and leave Lan untrained. If this is the case, how well does she stand "out of the box" without anyone to boost her stars? (I would of course take the time to grind her up to 150/10.) Can she be the seventh-slot filler?

My state of knowledge is that you get 80% of xp and nobility-points from a regrouped commander.
MarΓa and Fatima (although I won't regroup her) have skills to gain more knowledge because they are intend to be regrouped.
Lan really needs trainers, especially for movement.

Yeah, Fatimah I'm going to keep around because she's like Arnold with Napoleonic Code for high-speed Baidu-type runs, but she can do it without it taking up a slot, and she has architecture for small-nation conquests where I need to upgrade on the cheap. The last time I regrouped Fatimah, I regretted it. Sakurako is up to 5* in infantry and can easily replace Maria if I need an infantry commander. Lan will be my primary cav commander at that point anyway.
