truhses The pattern is basically the same in 1943: 4 points for 16 countries and 5 points for 20. Good thing that we don't need to complete both 1939 AND 1943. At the moment I have 152 points and I have to complete either 1939 or 1943 to take the last milestone reward I think that 1939 is easier to complete, though some conquests may be time-consuming. In 1943 we may leave 3 the most difficult ones out, but we still have to play for at least two of minor Axis countries: Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Finland and Thailand. Out if these I think Thailand and Bulgaria are best options to choose from, because their starting positions are relatively safe. Yet it will be a bloodbath anyway because both Germany and Japan have a hard time.

I took the 1943 option and went for Romania because the give us 2 cities, 2 weak tanks and a StzF and Brandenburger both lv5. I found its ability extremely useful: occupy a city and then move out again to leave a light inf behind. Much cheaper than using paratroopers and staying in a city is suicide against the Soviet onslaught. Alternatively, attacking twice with Yamashita who has explosive and the great soldier medal can take ~500 health off of any empty city. Next I played Thailand because I didn't want to do almost the same again. This was surprisingly easy, the only real threat is a British Pershing with general. The Japanese army ties down most of the Chinese generals and it was smooth sailing once my own Pershing+Guderian was out.

Yes, I agree that Thailand is the easiest one out of all Axis 1* states. The central position helps a lot to prevent the collapse of both Germany and Japan.
