Might be controversial, but I'll share what I found by accident today. If you go to conquest, select a clan, press Enter and almost simultaneously Challenge, it opens the conquest, and then in the new conquest opens the challenge screen. You can now select your challenge debuffs, continue, and then the conquest continues in challenge mode, all debuffs such as tavern costs and diplomacy erosion apply from turn 2, but the key point is that the starting position is standard. All clans have normal prestige, and presumably normal resources and starting units (and, I guess, normal starting diplomacy, but I went with my normal strategy and eliminated that debuff entirely). I exited and reopened the saved conquest to make sure it is still in challenge mode, the only thing I haven't done is play a run to the end to make sure the rewards are normal.
Worth using? Up to you, I guess. Apart from the question if it's fair/appropriate (since it's clearly not intended), IMO, if you cheese challenge mode too much, you're left with all of the grind and none of the challenge. But maybe useful to get the rewards from challenges you can't beat any other way.

I personally don't find this challenge mode particularly "challenging" And if to play without (or almost without) diplomacy the difference between challenge conquests and normal conquests is not that great. Luckily we may skip normal conquests altogether after completing clans' tasks. The main issue to me is time spent on conquests not their difficulty I think they should do something to accelerate AI's moves. If someone can find a trick how to do it I would be really happy 😊

Can’t really seem to pull it off. Won’t be doing it anyway because challenge conquests aren’t difficult at all and I’m not going to be the one testing whether or not you get the stuff at the end.

Won't even try, is this game new or something? Why I can't find any good sources of information about the gameplay of this game?

Won't even try, is this game new or something? Why I can't find any good sources of information about the gameplay of this game? It was just released around the end of the last year. They're mostly in Chinese circles and mainly official social media accounts owned by the developers.
