Is there list for which special units is for which general? I know some, for example Mori has mounted archers, Date mounted teppo, but I was unable to find anything beside that

I believe all gold and purple generals excluding himes have a specialized unit, but no blue and green generals do. So you can limit your search to those rarities Also something I noticed is that Tachibana Dousetsu's specialized unit is heavy cavalry, a regular troop unlike practically every other general. The only other general who has a regular troop specialized unit is Naoe Kanetsugu who prefers teppo samurai. One question I do have is what exactly specialized units do. We all believe generals perform better with them but what exactly makes them better?

I believe nobody has been able to document what bonus (if any) is given by pairing a general with their specialized unit, but it must do something good, right?

If I *had to* name a guess, it would be sth like +5% crit chance. Based on nothing but my subjective experience that somehow my Nobutsuna crits way more often on Sword Master than on Samurai which is kinda the only comparison where I believe to have many samples for both; because my Nobutsuna has my samurai in tavern but I take Sword Master whenever I have access. Also, one more thing I wanna note is that Date's AOE crits surprisingly often, I believe when I shoot 7 enemies at once, on average 2-3 (I would even lean more towards 3) are crits, which is actually pretty hard to justify given a 13% chance of mounted teppo and a +8% from a tenka fubu book. But ofc crit chance is such a thing, the only way to find out is to have actual documented data, which I have none so it remains purely speculative.

I recall someone said it is 10% damage bonus, which, of course, quite difficult to verify as well...
