currently i have 100+ magatamas & 3000+ ban-kins. in the recruit event, i tried to burn all of my magatamas to see if i could get Motonari (and previously Mitsuhide). but somehow the fixed gacha wont let me got those 2 of my last non IAP gold generals. from 100 magatamas, i rolled 3x30 Ujiyasu instead (and previously 3x30 Hideyoshi). (and somehow i never rolled Tadakatsu & Motochika).
other, i didnt buy M. Archer, Destroyer of P., and Carrack yet
so, its wait or burn?

Mounted archer is definitely worth getting. I personally believe DoP is also worth it, but there's not complete consensus - see this thread for discussion: european-war-4.boards.net/thread/19455/where-spend-ban-kinCarrack isn't worth it unless you feel like wasting ban-kin, if you have all the equipment you want I'd put it into magatama. If you have 100 plus purchase some, then even if you don't draw Mori, I imagine you're getting close to the point where you can unlock him with blue flames. |

You should get the Mounted Archer if you have a worthwhile archer to use it on.
I'm still not really sold on early DoP in challenge conquests. so I'd get it if you have either Ujiyasu (you will have him apparently) or Sorin and you feel like you'd need it to beat some Tenkabito stuff. (Not really likely imo)
Carrack is worthless but buy it if you want to show off.
But other than that, you'll be spending the vast majority of your ban-kin on Magatama. I'm holding on to a bunch since the events are pretty similar to the ones in EW7, just in hopes that they discount it.

Everyone's said everything that was needed to be said, but I'll go anyway:
If you have any purple archer (from how you phrased it I'm assuming you don't have Motochika and Motonari, so Muneshige, Chiyo, Motoharu, Hanbei) or Ieyasu, mounted archer is a worthwhile purchase. It might be a good purchase in preparation of getting Motonari since you'll get him eventually, even if it takes months! It took a few months for me to get my roster, but I do have all non IAP generals (and if I'm really indulgent, I might just get all generals period) 
I'm with SolidLight on DoP as you can read on the thread Theron posted, but it's still a good purchase depending on your mileage and what you value. If you're making choices on conserving ban-kin carrack is ruled out, it won't have a battlefield for a long time, maybe ever.
Equipment might not be a bad purchase depending on your status. A lot on what you'll spend ban-kin on is based on your current progress in the game, how much ban-kin are you getting, what generals you have, and stuff like that.

Regarding useless ships... The Imjin War, Kobukson and Li Sunsin are ahead... Very true, Yi Sun-sin is gonna destroy all our ships, it's inevitable... Hideyoshi's gonna be mad. But, looking at the campaign, Korea is completely endgame, we're going a little out of chronological order as we still have the remainder of Hideyoshi's unification campaigns, Sekigahara (historically after Imjin), and Osaka (after Sekigahara and therefore Imjin) to complete. Plus, ships cannot be upgraded so they can be used freshly bought, so I don't see anything wrong with crossing that bridge when we get there. If it's possible to complete the Imjin campaign without carrack or not is something we'll see in the future, but right now I wouldn't worry about buying carrack. It is quite expensive for something that doesn't show much gain currently. I say wait until we can face Admiral Yi face to face to make a firm decision on carrack unless you want to see the word "purchased" under every single unit in the shop. |

I mean one thing you can do is to use S/L to "look ahead" what you're gonna get with those 6k. Then you can choose how many of the ban-kin you wanna commit. Sometimes it helps

Sometimes it helps Note that S/L doesn't save and reload Conquest progress for ongoing runs. Also, it's not as if you cannot recover the lost sum. If you play enough Challenge runs, you can earn back a sizeable portion. |

At this rate, Carrack + the handheld cannon unit would've cost 3100 Ban-kin. Better that you choose the others.
