How do I compel the Hojo to negotiate? Hojo lost all castles except the central castle and the attacks were beaten.
The Hojo starved but no response. I occupied whatever white halo I could, but no movement. I attacked the central force and opened a direct path to the central castle, but they were unnerved.
I do not think I misread the instructions this time, unlike Hamamatsu Castle's gimmick.

Did you make contact with the Sanada Clan ? Once they decided to surrender to you (after saying that you should take more castles), the JoJo Clan made peace with us and won. At least that's how we made it in the normal mode, idk for hard

I ve cjust finished normal missions now. I went Northeast to deal with the farest castle with One eyed sniper and his Archer collegue. then there with tokugawa and Kamiizumi i dealt with southeastern forces, then i received message just after taking down western castle by the greens that we can wipe out the rest. Hojo after few punches gives up.. Sometimes it doesnt work maybe at the first time.

On a slightly related note. Ieyasu drops the Kai Warhorse! I still kinda want more horses, and normally the one in the shop for 2000 blades is the only replenishable source of that but there’s no way I’m going to get them that way now.

At least that's how we made it in the normal mode, idk for hard Sanada turns, but not Hojo. Happened twice. Edit: The true condition is to (A) prevent the fall of castles with the halo, (B) seize / turn the other castles with a halo, and (C) defeat half of the main Hojo army. Works for Hard as well. I wonder how one would win the other way. By attacking the Sanada? By taking all castles before sending a messenger? Or simply destroying the Hojo army?

Just for fun I decided to attack the Sanada after I sent a messenger. If you do that you have to kill everyone. It's actually much more difficult simply due to how many enemies you have to kill and how little units you have, plus your allies aren't that much of a help in that scenario. I came upsettingly close to doing it though!
