Completely possible on hard with just f2p. It’s a good bit easier than the Japanese one, and slightly easier than the US Pacific one. No navy battles helps.
I used Guderian, Rommel (put both on elite tanks), List, Rokko, Konev (on elite artillery when it’s free), Chennault, Dowding, Yamashita, Donitz, and Yamaguchi.

Agreed. Most missions give us useful units to deploy generals on. The 6th mission confronts us with the biggest Tank spam, but once this is under control we can expand and secure a decent amount of income.
I have grown really fond of Dowding recently. The +50 economic and +10 Technology income boost that he provides, goes long ways towards building the necessary elite units.

I'd like to ask about your expansion route and how you dealt with the German armour. Slow and steady, or fast and hard? I tried the latter, but Guderian and Rommel were nearly shredded. (I blundered my Guderian on Turn 14 so I had to restart.) Bastogne couldn't hold leading to a 1× morale drop. And I think Luxembourg might not hold if not supported. Abrams, who will spawn from the southern fortess, tried to outpace my forces and got shredded with Guderian. Do I need to rescue my allies from German armour? What about the enemy fortresses? I attacked the central and SE ones. The SE fort distracted Rokossovsky, Yamashita and Nenonen.

I sent List and Rokko to the East (no AA on either), then Guderian, Rommel, and Konev (all with AA/Accuracy) to the center. I went very slow and did not touch the fortresses. Use the green ribbons to your advantage. I only have Konev as f2p (other artillery generals are Zhukov and Kluge), but if you have Leeb/Nenonen, I’d send them East with two tank generals. I think I lost the starting city for a few rounds.

I was lucky enough to find Bastogne empty but still in allied hands which allowed me to avoid the morale drop. Once you defeat Model, the German forces will retreat, giving you a chance to regroup and counterattack.
As for strategy I did almost the same as journeykeen, main push towards Bastogne, secondary forces protect the allied fortress and take back Luxembourg. Enemy fortresses can be neutralized with bunker spam/paratroopers.

Help I can't pass operation dragon/Marseille. I need help.
Operation Dragoon Normal
Eastern forces to move up the Italian lands and exit via a narrow pass towards the central-east target city. Western forces to march along the coast to Marseilles. I sent a detachment to attack the SW city before they took the W-SW city above it and rejoined the main group. The main group to launch an attack towards the north from Marseilles. When you take the city immediately north of Marseilles, part of them will move east to support entry of the Italian clean up crew into France. I had Dowding sitting in Marseilles, and Konev (Elite Rocket) and Guderian (any 2-hex, but I probably had the Pershing?) deployed in the northward attack. I also had both money wonders on the lvl 4 cities. The point now is to maximise the safety of your gens and number of units defeated. Soft / weakened ones to be picked off by tanks, while arty stun / soften the others. I think I used Dowding or Guderian (4*) to bomb the target east of Dijon with strategic bombers from Dijon.

Help I can't pass operation dragon/Marseille. I need help.
Operation Dragoon Hard
Use the RA (3rd arty gen; Nenonen for me) and medium tank (3rd DPS tank gen; Vatutin for me) to attack the coastal fort, and the heavy tank gen to blast it with a follow-up on the SW city. Land Tassigny and attack. Using your best 2 admirals (Nimitz and Doenitz for me), quickly relieve the sea fortress. Land your super arty with 2nd best arty gen (Leeb for me) and given Medic. Best inf / 2nd best inf can be used (I used my 3rd best, Pavlov, because I was planning on using Runstedt and Yamashita later but do as I recommend). Capture the city immediately to your NE by turn 3-4 and drop a paratrooper as shown on the right of the window (2nd picture). If you are sure to hold the city, deploy the Financial Centre. Deploy your elite 2-hex tank with best tank gen (Guderian for me) followed by elite rocket or highest atk elite arty, if rockets are unavailable, with best arty gen (Konev for me). Before you take Marseilles, begin to move towards Lyon with your best. Individual divisions (army groups) will probably move if in range, or when the nearest city falls, but I think Marseilles causes all to pounce. Send the first medic and 3 gens (I sent Leeb, Vatutin and Rommel) to assist the remaining Americans. Spawn Dowding / any economic gen, if any, and keep him and Tassingy in the cities. Deploy the other financial Wonder once you secure another lvl 4 city. Deploy a 2nd medic and heal Dever's remnants. Quickly send the first medic (with gen) to main group when a gen is dying. Hold if unable to clear German armour. Advance when the road is clear. Don't move Dowding or Tassingy at all. The eastern group should move towards the Italians. Take the city, build the bunker to block Graziani, and defeat Graziani. 2 ships to support and clear the seas.
Had to restart due to phone glitch (game automatically shuts down if my phone is sent to lock screen or I use another app) and a mistake that got my Dowding to be KIA. However, you should be able to spam 1× or 2× heavy tanks from Lyon and 1× motorised inf from the SE Italian city. Focus on the heavy tank spam to fight off the Germans. Follow the targets.
