So, I decided to re-install this game on my pc, and played for a month. I am currently on the Western Front 1944 and quite struggling to finish campaigns on the Allies. Which allied general should i buy next? Btw, here are my generals:

KenKenGreatest , can u list out what u have as the image is not found. This really depends on which campaign you are in. For infantry(which is a major problem for allies for Alexander is a infantry-artillery hybrid), if you have medals, I‘d rather let you get MacArthur as Slim, Bradley and Tassigny are behind him in abilities. Vasilevsky is trash and not nessecary. The advantage of Tassigny is his price, but I'd rather get Slim or Bradley if I had more medals. For artillery, this depends on if Chuikov can handle the mission(this is possible for pro gamers). If not get Govorov. Konev was best in WC4 but now he is redundant even to Chuikov. For tanks, it depends if you have Patton. I believe Patton and Timoshenko can possibly complete the whole game. Or else, Rokossovsky is recommended.

Guderian Patton MacArthur Donitz Leeb Yamashita Vatutin I think I don't need to buy tank general as my current tank generals can handle the work well same as Chuikov. I am really looking forward to buy inf generals such Slim or Konev, if not, then Govorov. Currently in WF 1944

I am also planning to buy Rommel if I struggle completing the Axis campaigns of Western Front 1944

Pretty much what gamer007 said. To be honest, if you play your cards right, you have enough to clear the campaign already. 1) Rokossovsky is best tank general Allied side (some misguided souls argue for Monty). You'll want him eventually for Elite, but he's low priority since you have two solid options. 2) Govorov is expensive, but he's the undisputed best artillery general in the game. Chuikov is also quite good but your other options are meh. Govorov will definitely make your life easier. 3) I'm mildly skeptical about investing in infantry, because most likely only MacArthur from the Allied side is an endgame general, on the other hand the game gives you plenty of medals. If you feel like you need more infantry firepower, I'd take Slim but none of them is a mistake except Vasilevsky. 4) At some point you'll want Nimitz, you don't need him for Pacific 1945 but he'll definitely help. You'll probably want Monty for Elite but that can wait. Axis side, yes, your next purchase should be Rommel and after that probably Rundstedt.

Calling Govorov the best artillery general in the game is bit of a stretch, Zhukov has better skill and stats than Govorov so calling him the 2nd best overall artillery general in the game should be better

But yes, for completeness, Zhukov is marginally better than Govorov. Though even then it's really only Zhukov's aura effect that makes him stand out, 1v1 I don't think there's much between them.
