well I conclude that both of them are useful later. However, it is notable that for elite battles and challenge mode MacArthur wins them both as Yamashita only has Guerilla and Rundstedt only has infantry leader



 
It's obvious by now that Macarthur is better than both Yama and Rundstedt but buying all of them should be good for both elite and challenge as there will be mission that need three best overall F2P Infantry generals out there
