This new update has brought us the fourth and last conquest shown on the game (let's hope for more! Anyone have clues if they wants to do more?). I would very like to play my favourite clan, the Toyotomi Hideyoshi one, besides the Takeda. But I'm rather conflicted on what to do as the Toyotomi is either allied or have passage agreement with everyone. Do you need to break one clan after all waiting for your credibility to go up again, or there's an event in which you are forced to fight instead of watching it from the sidelines?
Also, what's the general context of this conquest as it takes place in the 1600?
Thank you

World Unification seems to be based on Sekigahara, with two major alliance blocs forming through the first 8ish turns and ending with Kobayakawa Hideaki's betrayal, killing Ishida Mitsunari. I haven't played much with it, but you'll be forced to fight I think.
Hideaki is a dirty traitor. I tried everything I can think of to save Mitsunari. Couldn't do it. Anyway, as Toyotomi in this campaign you'll most likely expand eastwards, killing Kyogoku, Hosokawa, and crashing into Tokugawa, Oda, and Fukushima. Hope this helps!

If you want to harbour a guess at who's formally aligned with who, look at the lineup in the Battle of Sekigahara and those in the Winter Osaka Campaign series.
These pretty much lists out some key enemies to watch out for. The game couldn't capture everyone, but thr key clans are there.
Western Army: Toyotomi, Ishida, Shimazu, Otomo / Tachibana (switched when invaded in Kyushu), Mori (technically), Oda (until Gifu falls), Kobayakawa (will turn traitor), Sanada (Masayasu + Yukimura), Uesugi (switched after Sekigahara), and a few more.
Eastern Army: Tokugawa, Date, Mogami (IIRC), Sanada (Nobuyuki + Ina-hime), Todo(?), Fukushima, Ikeda(?), and many more.
Additional tip: Whoever declares war on Uesugi or vice versa is likely to back the Eastern Tokugawa Army.

I’m not playing this until the challenge conquests come out. But I’m taking a look anyway. The Tanegashima Teppo finally exists! It’s absurdly overpriced and totally not worth spawning! Oh well, atleast Shimazu starts with a free 2 stack and can make some with their tactic. And this is weird.

I think this is the first time we see Miura Anjin (William Adams). Unfortunately with a generic face so he probably wouldn't be obtainable. He spawns on a 16 pounder cannon in Tokugawa on turn 10.
