I'm in the Cold War right now, NATO 1/ WTO 4. My tech is slightly below level. I currently have Horton, Messe, Konev, Guderian, and Pavlov. Who should I get next?
Also, how can I get Simo Hayan, or whatever Finnish sniper's name is?

Also, how can I get Simo Hayan, or whatever Finnish sniper's name is? You obviously can get him but, unfortunately, it will cost you real money. He's an IAP general. Nimitz is not the best option at the moment because you can get free Darlan quite early in the game. You don't need some extraordinary efforts to unlock him. Just play a couple of easy challenge conquests and fulfill some bizarre winning conditions such as to make allies out of neutral states and to conquer the whole map. I would say Rommel with 40% discount is the best choice. On the other hand, if you have problems with Infantry Invasions - then buying an Infantry general is also a decent option. And don't buy fragments of elite units. It won't help you much at this stage of the game.

I agree with stoic. Additionally, until I invested in Yamashita, Konev was my inf gen with Rumour and Crowd Tactics as his two open skills. For Scenarios / Normal Challenge, inf gens aren't needed. For Hard Challenges, they are good to have, but technically still not as essential as tanks and arty. Rommel will patch your tank shortage. Leeb is a cheap and still effective plus efficient arty gen, IMO. Bwtween the two, I think I'd also agree with prioritising Rommel. Without good tanks, your arty will be vulerable. Even Schmidhuber can't do much when he's just that bad. As with navy, Darlan is possible, but Horton should be enough on his own. The original idea of prioritising at least 3 tanks, 2 arty and 1 navy still holds weight in Scenario.

Leeb is cheap to get but you'll have tons of investment to make. If we are just talking about cost efficiency, Nenonen is the better option. My recommendation is Rommel then Arnold.

Thank you. I've got the 20 percent mission done for Rommel already, and once I hit Lvl 30 (just half a level left) I can get super tanks to deploy to do the 40 percent level.
I was unaware of Darlan being unlockable behind a few challenges. I'll be sure to check him out.
