I am currently in the Battle of Mariana Islands for Allies and Battle of New Work for Axis. I am struggling at the Allied campaigns, and I feel like the Axis campaign for 1945 is a bit easy. Should I buy an Air force gen? If yes, then who? My generals:

There's really only one choice for "who" and that's Dowding. But I'm in general not much of a believer in air force. You should honestly be able to clear with what you've got (perhaps you need to invest more into special forces?), but if you're going to upgrade I'd rather go for endgame generals. Govorov, Rokossovsky, Monty.

Dowding for me is really bad,Halsey with his Air force cluster and 4 star in air can already do more damage than Dowding in Carrier ,but tbh you should be buying Dowding if you need to grind for Challenge and Elite as you can use Kesselring or Yamamoto to make him a slightly better Kesselring in air

I have Kesselring, Yamamoto, and Dowding. Kesselring is usable if you intend to use him to fight while Yamamoto is the better carrier gen.
Not sure about others, but I had Dowding for the Allied side only, besides Arnold. He's enough, I think.
