I’m working on ‘39 and ‘43 conquest speedruns. The path to ‘43 in 7 rounds is immediate with Coulson, but ‘39 in 6 less so. I need Air Force generals to get it done, so does anyone have any opinions on which IAP AF general is best for this?
Coulson is the best (especially for ‘43 with missiles on Cologne), and Spruance is the worst (carriers are useless), but I have no idea in-between. The baseline is the performance of a maxed-out Arnold or Chennault, for reference.

It doesn’t really matter whos in between since Coulsons gap with the rest of them is enormous but still going to answer. A distant 2nd would be Spatz as his skill negates the lvl 6 tech for air. I find richtofen to be too niche and he definitely wont be of use in speedruns. Same with Mccampbell tho even worse than rich since his ability is only good against units with high defense and its a waste of resources in any conquest for the most part. I think thats all of the iap air gens tho i could be wrong

Coulson’s ability roughly doubles damage (after critical hits and all), while the others are modest boosts at best. For speedruns the ability to hit high-defense units is also rather worthless, since AF is mostly used to hit empty cities. I’ll probably buy Coulson and see if that’s enough to get 6 rounds ‘39 and 7 for ‘43
