One of the experimental things in this game is the Mission feature. You may assign a legion a mission. Either defend or patrol, or move (with the added choice of attacking).
Apparently, if you set a gen to defend, he will automatically deploy a war gear on his own. Can't tell if this was a bug or intentional, but it's bad.
I don't want my gens to consume Hussite Wagongs or the Triple Crossbow on their own, when I'm still considering whether to give them ships or another gear.
Plus, I'm not sure when they move. Whether right after the player ends his turn, during the movement turn for that faction as if the player wasn't in control, or after all AI powers have moved.
