-Definitely get Chennault
-if you decide for Meretskov, give him rumor as it has synergy with his tagging skill. His guerilla will help you apply both rumor and laser tag.lol.
-and about Brook, I agree with Nobunaga also...he is a must have. His Inferior Victory give him bonus damage not only on elite artillery, but also any super artillery or super rockets.

So yeah either i can get Meretskov or wait for priest and get Brooke as for Vatutin he seems to be lackluster i bought him because i was stuck in 2018 for getting Vatutin and grind from there but he really has fallen off and have thought of selling him to buy and upgrade the new generals as Arnhim seems to even do better even with 1 les star lol

I don't think it is the best option. The difference between many tank generals isn't that great to dismiss one and to hire another. Only Guderian can have 5 useful skills, and even in his case Blitzkrieg isn't an OP skill anymore. The rest of tank generals potentially can have only 3-4 decent skills. And, truth be told, Plain fighting, PL and AA isn't the worst possible combination. Even underperforming ToI is to some extent useful with life-stealing Ribbons at our disposal. The main problem with Vatutin is that you need to invest in him first. But fully upgraded he isn't far behind other silver tier generals like Bastico, List or Hoth. And some of them (List, for example) require far more investments than Vatutin does (not to speak about top tier generals like Montgomery (a better but far more expensive version of Vatutin).

Perhaps the number of tank generals in your team is overwhelming in comparison to other branches, but tanks are still the backbone of your team in many missions including 2* biography events and 3* campaigns like The Great Patriotic war and others. So, my advice is to forget about tank generals for the moment and to improve your other departments. Since no-one in your current team can use an Infantry badge, it is the best place to start. Again, the difference between Infantry generals isn't that great, so any decent general like Koenig, Meretskov, Higuchi or Yamashita can do the job. And my first impression of Doom Warzone is that you probably need 4 Infantry generals in total to complete it with flying colors and to get a medal improving AA (and as Nobunaga Oda pointed out an access to daily sweeps as well). And, yes, you need at least 5 tank generals for Doom Warzone too (in addition to at least 3 Artillery generals (better 4), 2-3 Air generals (Including Chennault and a couple (better 3) of Admirals (since you already have Darlan and Mikava, - Yamaguchi is the best choice, but since we can deploy Admirals only in one of Doom Warzone missions, I think that upgraded Horton can do the job).
