Is it possible to trigger the reinforcement's without Sanada reaching Ieyasu (and forcing Ieyasu to retreat)? Cause I’ve been able to take out Sanada at the middle city, but then without the reinforcements I don’t have enough to finish all the other targets (especially Mori). However, once Sanada takes that bottom city, it becomes nearly impossible to lower his morale (even with various morale lowering actives). So even if his TS is down to a couple hundred, it’s insanely hard to finish him off, especially while also trying to deal with the others.

I'm not sure how we could trigger their appearance. I always assumed that they are scripted to show up near the end.
As I clear the west of all enemies, I sent gens in pairs or trios to block the eastern thrust. When it came to Yukimura, I had to encircle him and pummel him to drop his morale. Keep repeating this until he passes.

For me, they only showed up when Sanada forces Ieyasu to flee, which requires you to allow Sanada to survive the first city, and almost inevitably allow him to take that bottom corner city once Ieyasu is gone. When I went all out at Sanada from the jump and take him out at the middle city, no reinforcements arrive.

Thanks to Oda’s advice about sending 2-3 troops to head off the eastern push, I was able to complete this level (with the help of some medic consumables).
