So there has been confusion about how to use dices when in battle.
This is a thread to explain.
1) How to insert dices
When using dices it might be useful to know how to insert dices. First of al when replying to a thread you will have to go to the full editing mode. Thie full editing mode can be entered by clicking on the red reply button (see picture below).
In the full editing mode you can do all kind of cool stuff with your text, for example you can insert cool text , smileys , or in this case insert dices pXGPM8NZ
To do this hit the button with the dice on it (see picture below) once, to insert 2 dices hit the button twice and so on. You will notice the dice has no black dots in it (see pic), this is normal. The dice will get a ''value'' after you have posted your reply/turns.
TRYING TO REMOVE THE DICES AND REINSERT THEM WILL MESS THE DICES UP!
2) Usage of dices
The outcome is the amount of black dots of the 2 dices combined (per attack you use 2 dices to determine the outcome) So how do we ''determine'' the outcome? Here is a simple overview
Against an enemy with equal amount of armies (equal strenght), no defence advantages (like mountains or cities) and no other *Auto Corrected* that makes you or your enemy stronger you throw:
3) ''required number''
You might have encountered the something called ''required number'' . This means the minimum ''value'' required to win the battle. In normal battle (see graph above) you will see that 7 is the required number for winning the battle, any number higher than 7 will do to. We call this number the ''required number''
Surely you will find yourself into battles with armies who haven't got the same strength. The following things can influence the outcome:
-Events , game events, such as tropical storms, can put you into (dis)advantages
-Army size, bigger armies is usually better peformance
-Army strength, you might be confused reading this. Let me explain: you can have several types of armies, for example: armored divisions and normal armies. Armored divisions are twice as strong as normal armies. This means despite you outnumbering the enemy in a 10 of your armies against 5 hostile armored divisions, you still have equal chances. 6 armored divisions are more likely to win from 10 normal armies
NB: the strength of an army type is given in battle power (BP). A normal army has BP 1, thus meaning an armored division has BP 2
-Location: major cities and capitals (max 1 per province) increase the required number with 1
This said, how do you calculate your losses in a unequal battle? Simple, you just change the number 7 into the number 8 when having a small disadvantage or 7 into 6 when having a small advantage. Having a bigger (dis)advantage will change your required number with 2. MINIMUM REQUIRED NUMBER FOR EVERY BATTLE IS 5, THUS THROWING A 4 OR LOWER ALWAYS RESULTS IN A LOSS/DRAW
So take a look at this, this is a battle scheme when having a small advantage
12, OMFG, you annihilate the army of the enemy. No casualties on your side and you kill 50-75% (whatever you and your opponent think is fair) of the army of the enemy
11, OMFG, you annihilate the army of the enemy. No casualties on your side and you kill 50-75% (whatever you and your opponent think is fair) of the army of the enemy
10, REKT, you make the enemy **** in their pants. 5-10% (whatever you and your opponent think is fair) of your men dies, 40-60% (idem) of the army of the enemy dies
9, very nice, you dance on the hostile corpses. 10-20% (idem) of your army is killed while you kill 30-50% of their army
8, nice, the enemy was strong but still no match, 15-25% (idem) of your army is KIA while you kill 35-40% (idem) of their army
7, neat, it was close but you have won the battle, 20-25% (idem) of your army is KIA while you kill ~30% of their army
6, it was so close, but still a win! You lost ~30% of your army while the enemy loses 20-25% (idem)
5, it was so close, but it is a draw! You lost ~30% so does the enemy. You do not advance
4, nuh, it was close but you have lost the battle, ~30% of your army is KIA while they lose 25-30% (whatever you and your opponent think is fair)
3, &@#$, you were strong but still no match for the enemy, 35-40% (idem) of your army is KIA while you kill 15-25% (idem) of their army
2, very sad, they dance on your dead men, 30-50% (idem) of your army dies, they lost a meager 10-20% (idem)
And this is a scheme when having a small disadvantage
12, REKT, you make the enemy **** in their pants. 5-10% (whatever you and your opponent think is fair) of your men dies, 40-60% (idem) of the army of the enemy dies

3, OMFG, NOOO, you lost 50-75% of your army while the enemy has (almost) no losses!
2, OMFG, NOOO, you lost 50-75% of your army while the enemy has (almost) no losses!
I think you get the point, if you have still more questions: feel free to ask me, Napoleon Bonaparte , or one of our other experienced player

NOTE: WHEN SAYING ARMY YOU MEAN ALL THE ENEMY ARMIES YOU ARE ATTACKING, WHEN SAYING ARMIES YOU ACTUALLY MEAN DIVISIONSCASUALTIES ARE IN ARMIES LOST, CASUALTIES ARE ROUNDED DOWN. 15% KIA of their army consisting 10 armies = 1.5 = 1 army lost
