So my first general I got was radetzky, love him historically but in the game he's buns, I'm seriously thinking about saving up and getting davout, I already have dabrowski and murat and blücher should I go ahead and dismiss him and save up to get davout or should I just ride him out?

Don't get Davout. If you don't have them yet, pick Karl or Massena for inf aura. Davout lacks aura, you have the two cav aura gens (increasing your cav strength), and Lan does beat Davout. |

I already got karl and massena, along with wellington and suvorov, napoleon and kutuzov
