Before you ask the obvious, here are the Generals I'm going for:
INFANTRY: Pompey (Already Have) Vercingetorix (Don't Have Yet)
CAVALRY: Belisarius (Already Have) Huo (Don't Have Yet) Arminius (Don't Have Yet)
ARCHER: Commander (Already Have) Mithridates VI (Don't Have Yet) Octavian (Don't Have Yet)
All I really need are suggestions for a third Infantry General. I have been debating between Aetius, Crassus, Bato and Labienus. Aetius seems pretty far away for me, and Crassus is pretty much only useful in Conquest, since he is a city cracker. So the only reasonable options are Bato and Labienus, although I think Labienus should be my go-to.
Feel free to suggest any Infantry General (NO IAP)!

Bato gets Woad raider. Once you get to Epic War, that settles the debate. Before that, they're close enough that it doesn't matter, but I'd lean towards Bato anyway. The other option is to switch your Commander to cavalry, deploy 4 cavalry generals and add Drusus.

The other option is to switch your Commander to cavalry, deploy 4 cavalry generals and add Drusus. I see. If I went with the former option, my future team would be this: Pompey, Vercingetorix and Bato for Infantry; Belisarius, Huo and Arminius for Cavalry and Commander, Mithridates VI and Octavian for Archer. Otherwise, if I went with the latter option, my future team would be something like this: Pompey and Vercingetorix for Infantry; Commander, Belisarius, Huo and Arminius for Cavalry and Mithridates VI, Octavian and Drusus for Archer. If I misunderstood something in your post, I'm sorry about that. In the meantime, I will think about how my future team should be like.

So the only reasonable options are Bato and Labienus, although I think Labienus should be my go-to. Feel free to suggest any Infantry General (NO IAP)! First of all, the most important generals in your squad are just the first 2 in each category. Once it reaches the third, the importance rapidly declines, with the only exception being Hasdrubal in epic wars. I haven't deployed a third infantry for ages so I don't recommend buying a general for that. Just use Caelus if you need one. I second Theron of Acragas that you should switch your commander to cavalry later on. A squad with cavalry commander and Octavian/Drusus is better than one with archer commander and Marcus. However, if you don't agree with me on this then feel free to stick to archer. For archer, Yu Ji has higher priority. Octavian has to fight Drusus over Javelineer but needs to max out his Way of Honor to beat Drusus. At least for now you can forget about Octavian and just use Drusus. Arminius is completely obsolete. Huo isn't utterly and completely useless like Arminius but is still pretty obsolete. Hasdrubal is a must for epic wars and Marcus is good enough for other tasks. So here's the team I compose for you: Infantry: Pompey, Vercingetorix, none/Caelus Cavalry: Commander, Belisarius, Marcus/Hasdrubal Archer: Mithridates, Yu Ji, Drusus/Octavian If you don't want to switch your commander: Infantry: Pompey, Vercingetorix, none/Caelus Cavalry: Belisarius, Marcus, Hasdrubal Archer: Commander, Mithridates, Yu Ji

Since CavCom is a very popular choice (and it's what people recommend me to switch to), I'm gonna go with that.
But then it begs the question: What skills are perfect for CavCom? I don't really feel like scouting entire GCR threads just to find the meta skills for my CavCom.

I don't really feel like scouting entire GCR threads just to find the meta skills for my CavCom. Cavalry Commander, Assault, Ambush On Ten Sides, Guerrilla/March Guerrilla vs March is strictly based on preference. I've seen people enjoying both. Oh and another thing. Later on in campaigns or decisive battles you might find yourself needing an admiral. Just use Faustus for that. Plus you know Aetius will come.
