I really enjoy playing conquest in the Easy Tech games I have (GoG, GoG Pacific, EW4, WC3) but I have found that whenever I play these the AI likes to do some really anoying things in each game. In both the GoG's I have found that the AI spams Infantry (the basic one mostly) which fills up the battlefield and makes winning tedious. In EW4 they spam woden forts everwhere again making wining boring, slow and tedious. Then finally, in WC3 I have found they like to drop an insane ammound of paratroopers everywhere. I just finished my first conquest in WC3 as Australia and after taking over pretty much all of Asia and Russia (East of Saratov and Yekaterinburg) but after multiple attemts to use forces from China to capture Moscow all my units would be overwhelmed by paratroopers from Moscow. The same thing happened when I managed to push my way to capture Stalingrad, I couldnt push any further becuase the Romanians and Italians would drop more paratroops than I thought were possible. In the end I found you cant paratroop onto mines so I made a lot around Stalingrad to try and keep the Romanians back but that didn't solve the problem.
Has anyone else noticed these things in these games? If so how do you think is best to combat/stop it?

Yes, we have been complaining about paraspam in WC3. My suggestion would be to just ignore those paratroopers and focus on capturing cities with airfield lv2+ in order to prevent further paraspam. If you want to clean them up, use a tank general on super tank. But since no super tank in 1939 and very limited number in 1943 so I guess you should rather make capturing airfields a priority.

Yeah thats what I ended up doing but it was hard as my units would be killed when approching airbases. I did it in the end but with no generals!

You have to keep in mind which side is in favor during a conquest. 1939 favors Axis, 1943 favors Allies, 1950 & 1960 favors WTO (because Easytech is from dear ol' PRC). Playing as Spain in 1943, it was brutal pushing forward in Europe after Germany fell to USSR so quickly and most of my troops were out in the Americas, rekt USA for their nukes. Nukes didn't help with paraspam but mines did help at least. DON'T make those 10 mines a turn then... learn to wait a couple of turns and bring along motorized infantries to wait until the time is right. Then go sweep the area with your speedy infantry to make it your color. Lay down 25-35 mines all over the area. Then now the AI's paraspam didn't get a chance to touch a specific area. Make sure you do move your infantries out of their spots and fill in the empty space with mines on the next turn. From another thread where this subject also came up.

Yes I've noticed this heavily, if you ever play in the WW2 eras your allies always seem to get crushed, all you can do is basically conqueror the world yourself! Lol

What I usually do is just look at the other country and say,"yeah no I spam you," because by that time I've conquered a lot of the world aND i know i hAve the better economy. When does this happen to you in the game?

They should make it fair on both sides on each conquest

They should make it fair on both sides on each conquest That is often historically inaccurate

Sure if someone never opened the history books and went ahead made a game about a war in our past. Not to mention the horrible geography... oy
