I think we need to double check our math on the whole BP thing... I already wrote down some calculations, will post soon as possible.

Right now, what I do see here so far from Khurram... what we all see right there in the thread...
Please note Inf start at 1 then +1 per upgrade, tank start at 3 then +1 per upgrade
At the start Inf 1 BP produced 2 units per 2 prov = 2BP Tank 3 BP produced 1 unit per 1 prov = 3BP
One upgrade each Inf 2 BP - 2 unit per 2 prov = 4BP Tank 4 BP - 1 unit per 2 prov = 4BP
Two upgrade each Inf 3 BP - 2 unit per 2 prov = 6BP Tank 5 BP - 1 unit per 2 prov = 5BP
Three upgrade each Inf 4 BP - 2 unit per 2 prov = 8BP Tank 6 BP - 1 unit per 2 prov = 6BP
Maybe make the tank upgrades faster than infantry upgrades to give the players a choice "faster and earlier strong tanks" or "weak but eventually OP infantries"
Cap of 5 inf OR 3 tanks per prov let say...
At start 2 prov Max 10 inf = 10 BP Max 6 tanks = 18 BP
Upgrade troops +1 in 2 prov Max 10 inf = 20 BP Max 6 tanks = 24 BP
Upgrade troops +2 in 2 prov Max 10 inf = 30 BP Max 6 tanks = 30 BP
Upgrade troops +3 in 2 prov Max 10 inf = 40 BP Max 6 tanks = 36 BP

If we bump up the tech turns required for the inf and bump down the tech turns required for tanks, this would be sorta balanced between two preferences.
OR each tank tech give +2 instead of +1 per upgrade... I would have to re-do the math again.

Theoricalize... +1 per upgrade for inf +2 per upgrade for tank 2 prov as same example
At the start Inf 1 BP produced 2 units per 2 prov = 2BP Tank 3 BP produced 1 unit per 1 prov = 3BP
One upgrade each Inf 2 BP - 2 unit per 2 prov = 4BP Tank 5 BP - 1 unit per 2 prov = 5BP
Two upgrade each Inf 3 BP - 2 unit per 2 prov = 6BP Tank 7 BP - 1 unit per 2 prov = 7BP
Three upgrade each Inf 4 BP - 2 unit per 2 prov = 8BP Tank 9 BP - 1 unit per 2 prov = 9BP
Same tech turn times as already set in the tech tree, now...
Cap of 5 inf OR 3 tanks per prov let say...
At start 2 prov Max 10 inf = 10 BP Max 6 tanks = 18 BP
Upgrade troops +1,+2 in 2 prov Max 10 inf = 20 BP Max 6 tanks = 30 BP
Upgrade troops +2,+4 in 2 prov Max 10 inf = 30 BP Max 6 tanks = 42 BP
Upgrade troops +3,+6 in 2 prov Max 10 inf = 40 BP Max 6 tanks = 54 BP
Make the tank techs require more turns to compensate for the OP tank BP in the end.

Maybe +2 per upgrade for a tank who already started at 3 is pretty OP, I'm going to see what it would be like if tanks start at just 2 BP as old times but keep +2 upgrades for now.
At the start Inf 1 BP produced 2 units per 2 prov = 2BP Tank 2 BP produced 1 unit per 1 prov = 2BP
One upgrade each Inf 2 BP - 2 unit per 2 prov = 4BP Tank 4 BP - 1 unit per 2 prov = 4BP
Two upgrade each Inf 3 BP - 2 unit per 2 prov = 6BP Tank 6 BP - 1 unit per 2 prov = 6BP
Three upgrade each Inf 4 BP - 2 unit per 2 prov = 8BP Tank 8 BP - 1 unit per 2 prov = 8BP
Same tech turn times as already set in the tech tree, maybe and Tank isnt that OP as the 2nd example in the above post...
Cap of 5 inf OR 3 tanks per prov let say...
At start 2 prov Max 10 inf = 10 BP Max 6 tanks = 12 BP
Upgrade troops +1,+2 in 2 prov Max 10 inf = 20 BP Max 6 tanks = 24 BP
Upgrade troops +2,+4 in 2 prov Max 10 inf = 30 BP Max 6 tanks = 36 BP
Upgrade troops +3,+6 in 2 prov Max 10 inf = 40 BP Max 6 tanks = 48 BP
Per turn production of BP would be completely the same, but the cap limit makes tank eventually more favorable. The turns for tank techs are already longer than the inf techs, sounds reasonable. Also perhaps round down odd number of providences like 3 prov = 1.5 tank, can't produce 2 tanks, still stuck at 1. You still could make one inf as leftovers.

Thoughts from anyone? I'm just putting the numbers out here for everyone to see and think it over. Of course, it's ultimately up to you Napoleon Bonaparte, whatever you declare, it's your call. Btw, for TL;DR version... 1st option makes Tanks pretty strong (and if the tank techs are shorter) gets stronger earlier than infantry. Infantry starts out weaker in comparison but becomes OP eventually. 3rd option makes both pretty even in per turn pumping out units, but tanks have a larger BP cap but takes a bit longer to upgrade than infantry. The first option or 3rd option is definitely almost balanced if the techs are adjusted for their turns. The 2nd option is just for "world of tanks" pretty much, not so fun to me.

I suggest the third option be implemented. OP infantry doesn't look nice to me IMO but OP tanks do. Anyways desophaeus I must really really really thank you for taking out the time and crunching the numbers .

I saw and did the math in my mind and I have to admit, the last option is the best to me, 2 is well meh equalizing both tanks to infantry and one is just making infantries over powered.

Makes random whirring and beeping sounds... Illogical to express gratitude toward Unit Desopheaus. We are the Borg. Unit Desopheaus mathematical capabilities has been assimilated to serve the needs of the collective. Unit Desopheaus has been freed from the biological needs of emotions so the processing unit may crunch numbers without interference. Makes more random whirring and beeping sounds...

Basically, I was just teasing about being a human calculator doing the number crunching for you. It would be illogical to thank a computerized being for making logical calculations. Anyway, still want something that gives tanks more OP than infantry at the cap and with full upgrades but makes it easier to produce infantry per turn in terms of BP at the beginning?

Dude... you're asking for something that is slightly off-balance (to make it interesting) and yet balanced at the same time (to make things fairer and diverse instead of dominated by only one type). This is tricky... going somewhere between balanced and off-balance a little. I need to go now for a job application, after moving to Florida here, I had to resign from my old job and look for a new one while my wife starts on her job that she was hired. Say... 4 hours from now to be safe? I think I can get back sooner than that. Edit: Jean-Luc Picard, best75, General William T. Sherman, António Salazar, NetherFreek, The Light Bringer, Erich von Manstein, @whoever, whatever, @else. You guys, feel free to put in something if you like. This thread is made for cooperation and collaboration.

And don't take it on your head people Desophaeus, you can come online in four hours if you want to but I'll reply to this tomorrow now considering that its 11:04 here... Thought being online is at a person's own will

Thought being online is at a person's own will I think infantry should be op as it will be the main thing used for war, but not like the original, it could be as infantry has 8 bp max upgraded and tanks could have 7bp, better movement and faster research. That could be balance.
