Does it have New Zealand units? It does have ANZAC units (Australia and New Zealand). But Unfortunately no Pakistani units. And I really suggest you waiting for a Steam sale as I got the game for 15€ here in Germany.

Here is the dynamic map of one of the campaigns of the game: The 2nd Korean War In 1991: the Iron Curtain has fallen apart, communist satellites have emancipated from Moscow and the very Soviet Union is on the verge to be dissolved. To prevent that, a group of high-profile conspirators within the Soviet government attempt a coup against the man they held responsible: Mikhail Gorbatchev. With success, they initiate a diplomatic switch to their last communist neighbours: China and North Korea. But this Alliance has a high price: The unification of korea under the northern communist regime. You play on NATOs side, your objectives: Save the USS Enterprise from the attacking soviet fleets, prepare for an invasion from the North in South Korea and hold at least one southern sector of South Korea to prevent a total defeat and a unconditional surrender. I won´t spoil to much as this campaign goes on beyond these objectives. (btw. I modded this campaign because there were no US forces in South Korea in the original one as well as some French "bias" in late game, the developers are French...; this mod made it only more realistic and didn´t give me any true advantage)

USS Nimitz (CVN-68), Do you the option to play as the Soviets or do you have to play as the US?

On this you have to play as the US, but you´ve got other campaigns in which you, for example, play the Soviets and invade Japan

And here is the next campaign: Climb Mt. Narodnaya For decades, the status of the Khuril Islands has poisoned Japanese-Soviet relationships, and the recent remilitarization of Japan under American auspices has done little to warm them up. When the joint Japanese-US Navy exercise FleetEx '84 brings those navies at short distance from Vladivostok, Moscow sees this as a rehearsal for an impending attack. Airborne troops strike Japan and within a few weeks Tokyo has fallen. Your objective as the soviets is to control at least 3 out of 5 airfields to achieve a minor victory and to prevent the arrival of american reinforcements. In case of a total victory (control all 5 airports), Japan would be forced to sign an unconditional surrender.

Ok cool. Is there a conquest type mode or just campaigns? It is a mix of both. In the last three campaigns you´ve got some freedom to operate were ever you want, but you still have to complete the main objectives. This game only takes place in Asia and these campaigns never escalate to WW3, so there is no conquest stile mode like in WC3. And the developers unfortunatly focused more on the multiplayer, rather then the singleplayer.
