New Concept: Infinite Iron Cannon... jk
Should I start posting rules on the WoF board or maybe wait till after the likely painstakingly long TW9? I want people to be able to have an overview of the ENTIRE project while we are working on it. Maybe have a private chat for people who want to help with ideas and stuff?

So your thinking units would upgrad like in the Civilisation serries of games?
eg: Warrior (Clubs and stuff)--->Spearmen--->Swordsmen--->Longswordsmen (Middle Ages type swordsmen)--->Musketmen--->Riflemen--->WW1 Infantry--->WW2 Infantry--->Modern Infantry--->Future Infantry
Then maybe some countries get specialised units as well like marines or mountain troops?

A bit like that, yeah. Or maybe I should go like in Total War where previous units you have can be recruited for much cheaper. But for that I should make it for units in the same age (Wouldn't make sense for an Industrial era society to have Barbarian Horde units, yeah?) |

I think if your going to have the different ages/era/whatever you want to call it, its best to have the upgrade
